The September 2024 update has been applied to the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings and the full standings can be found here. August was an incredible month as far as no gi events are concerned, as it contained the biggest weekend in the history of the sport. ADCC 2024 featured eight weight classes and the Craig Jones Invitational played host to the most stacked bracket ever seen at under 80kg. Prior to that amazing weekend of elite grappling there was also several superfights that had an effect on the rankings too, taking place at ADXC 5 and BJJ Stars 13: Vikings Edition. That, along with the Jiu-Jitsu Con tournaments, meant there was a fair bit of movement in some of the gi divisions too.

Men’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 135lbs
There was only one change in the bantamweight division, as Santiago Guerra won the Jiu-Jitsu Con no gi International at this weight. He breaks into the rankings at number twelve and the man he beat in the final, Christopher Tran, falls to 13th in the process.
Featherweight – Under 148lbs
Diogo Reis reclaimed the top spot here by beating Diego ‘Pato’ Oliveira at ADCC 2024, but there was plenty of other movement below them from the same event. There was a newcomer in at 3rd, as Josh Cisneros picked up a bronze medal after a pair of big wins. Owen Jones couldn’t compete in the bronze medal match but he still had a fantastic performance and he breaks in on the edge of the top five, while Fabricio Andrey is just behind him in 6th. Gairbeg Ibragimov beat Dorian Olivarez in the opening round and he moves up to 7th as a result, while a solid win in the opening round was enough for Ethan Crelinsten to move up to 10th.
Lightweight – Under 162lbs

Welterweight – Under 175lbs
Kade Ruotolo secures the top spot at welterweight thanks to an incredible performance and four huge wins at the Craig Jones Invitational. He isn’t the only one who impressed, as Levi Jones-Leary moves up number five for his 3-1 run and Lucas ‘Hulk’ Barbosa makes it to 8th after a pair of solid wins. ADCC caused just as much movement here, with PJ Barch moving up to 3rd with a bronze medal and some big wins. Vagner Rocha moves to 4th despite winning a silver medal, due to the strength of opposition each man faced in their 3-1 performances. Dante Leon makes it up to number ten at this weight after a huge submission win that he earned over Mica Galvao in the ADCC 2024 absolute division. That would have sent Leon even further up the rankings if not for a loss in the opening round of the weight class to Elijah Dorsey. Not far behind him is JT Torres, who re-enters the rankings at number eleven after his 1-1 run at ADCC 2024.
Middleweight – Under 190lbs
The only change here came from Ronaldo Junior dropping down the rankings, as he has not competed at this weight in no gi since the end of 2023 and the competitors just below him have been more active with wins against ranked competitors.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 205lbs
Isaque Bahiense enters the rankings at number fourteen after a win at BJJ Stars, but ADCC had the biggest impact here. Giancarlo Bodoni moves into the top spot after taking home the title and Jacob Rodriguez slotted into 3rd place with a silver medal. Rafael Lovato Jr won a silver medal at ADCC 2024 to move into the 2nd position and the bronze medalist, Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu, takes up the 3rd spot. The breakout star from the under 99kg division was undoubtedly Michael Pixley though, and he takes the place of one of the men he beat at number four. Moving up to 7th after a big win is Declan Moody, and Javier Zaruski breaks in at 9th in a similar fashion.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
