Haisam Rida NewsHaisam Rida is an elite BJJ competitor who has appeared for all of the biggest professional grappling promotions in the world. Rida was always an athlete during his childhood and he was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 18 when he was living in Japan. He progressed to brown belt under his original coach, Yamada Shigetaka, before moving to the famous Carpe Diem Academy. It was there that he received his black belt from Yuki Ishikawa in 2018, and he began travelling further to compete. Rida eventually moved to the US in 2020 to train at Assembly Academy before making the transition to B-Team Jiu-Jitsu in 2023.
