Read moreRoberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu is one of the most successful no gi competitors in IBJJF history and the founder of Fight Sports. Abreu trained at Nova Geracao for the majority of his colored belt career and was promoted to black belt by Francisco Albuquerque in 2004, after just 5 years of training in the sport. He was teaching in his own gym since being a purple belt and that passion for teaching led to him establishing one of the most successful BJJ teams around, Fight Sports. Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu has competed at the highest levels of the sport deep into his 40s too, winning multiple IBJJF No Gi World Championships and standing on the podium of ADCC several times over the years.
