The Craig Jones Invitational is the brainchild of one of the world’s most popular grapplers, Australian BJJ legend Craig Jones. It was created for the sole purpose of increasing athlete pay in the sport by offering large prizes and functioning as a direct competitor to the most prestigious no gi tournaments. It is the first tournament in the history of professional grappling that has been able to offer a million dollars in prize money for the winner of every division. The inaugural CJI took place across August 16th and 17th, 2024, featuring both an under and an over 80kg weight class.
