Read moreADCC is one of the biggest and most popular grappling promotions on the planet and is often regarded as the Olympics of submission grappling. The ADCC World Championships happen once every two years, and the promotion hosts eight trials events during the period leading up to it that give athletes the chance to compete for an invite to the event. Alongside the eight trials winners who compete in the World Championships, eight more athletes are given invites based on their past performance at the event or their general success in the sport. Each world championship gathers together around a hundred of the best athletes on the planet to battle it out for the world’s most prestigious grappling titles over one action-packed weekend.
