Men’s Under 66kg
Opening Round
Reis and Xu are both happy to wrestle and Reis is trying to put on a higher pace than Xu, shooting in for low single-legs several times. Xu eventually drops to his back and Reis is maintaining that crazy pace when passing guard. He gets close to a pass and Xu starts to turn, leaving Reis the space to set up a D’arce Choke. Xu tries to defend at first but it’s too late and Reis gets the finish.

Fabricio Andrey vs Deandre Corbe
Corbe and Andrey start confidently and it isn’t long before Corbe gets the takedown. Andrey inverts to attack the legs and uses the threat to come up on top, with both men returning to the feet. A lovely inside trip from Andrey nearly scores, but Corbe recovers very quickly. Corbe goes for a single-leg as they go off the mat but Andrey’s balance is incredible and he refuses to be taken down. Corbe has non-stop offense on the feet and he’s keeping Andrey on the back foot while points are available, but Andrey does deny the points every time. Corbe gets behind him and dives on his back, but he can’t get hooks in and Andrey dives in on a shot once they get back up.
Corbe sprawls heavily and puts Andrey on his back but the time runs out before either man can score. Andrey is aggressive right from the start of overtime and he chains together multiple attempts that almost score. Corbe shoots after a reset and bails out, but it gives Andrey the opening to shoot and drag him to the mat. Corbe turtles and Andrey starts working to take the back, which he eventually does after a little bit of fighting for hooks. Corbe can’t escape and the overtime period ends there.

Gabriel and Cisneros are trading attacks on the feet right from the start, with both of them forcing big defensive reactions. Cisneros eventually manages to land one and he gets to work passing Gabriel’s guard, but Gabriel inverts to backside 50/50. Cisneros tries to counter with a heel hook and it forces Gabriel to give up his own offense to stay safe. Gabriel gets deeper on a heel hook but Cisneros counters by attacking the back and both men disengage, reverting to standing. Gabriel pulls guard and Cisneros gets to work passing again, forcing him to turtle and getting very close to the back when he does.
Cisneros tries to set up a triangle choke but he slides off and he’s really picking up the pace to score before overtime. Another pass sees Cisneros expose the back again, but he can’t secure the position before the time runs out. A failed takedown from Gabriel sees him working from the bottom again and Cisneros takes advantage of another turtle to get seatbelt control. Cisneros switches off to an armbar but Gabriel defends well and tries to counter with a leg attack, but Cisneros recovers and takes up top position. Another pass leads to another turtle and Cisneros manages to get his hooks in just as the time runs out.

Kennedy Maciel vs Keith Krikorian
Krikorian sits to guard and he gets in on Maciel’s legs pretty quickly, but Maciel stays calm and strips the control without much fuss. Krikorian uses the opportunity to transition to an armbar and he puts Maciel under pressure, but Maciel escapes and gets sight of Krikorian’s back. From there he tries an armbar of his own, but he slips off and Krikorian chooses to bottom position himself. Maciel tries to pass and Krikorian turtles just before the points become available, so Maciel starts working on a front-headlock.
Krikorian scrambles free and takes top position now, looking to pass all the way round to north-south with his arm wrapped around Maciel’s hip. Maciel reguards and gets close with a sweep but Krikorian turtles to defend and gives up his back in the process. Maciel secures his points then starts trying to attack an arm, but Krikorian escapes and starts working hard to pass. Krikorian can’t get anything to work though, and he ends the round trying.

Jones sits to guard and has an early armbar attempt but Sousa defends, and he picks up the pace with more leg attacks whenever Sousa engages with him. Jones alternates between that and threatening to wrestle up very well at first, keeping Sousa on the defensive instead of allowing him to work his passing game. Jones finds his way to closed guard for a moment but it isn’t long before he is back to attacking the legs again.
Sousa defends and drops into closed guard again while Jones briefly works rubber guard before attacking a guillotine, although he bails on it shortly after. Sousa tries to go all the way round Jones’ guard but Jones inverts comfortably to deal with it, and the clock runs out on the regulation period shortly after. Overtime starts and Sousa shoots in, but Jones latches on to an arm and bridges in to an armbar to get the finish incredibly quickly.

Dorian Olivarez vs Gairbeg Ibragimov
Olivarez is putting on a crazy pace immediately but Ibragimov looks largely unphased by it. Olivarez almost hits a takedown but Ibragimov turtles and Olivarez starts working to take his back. A scramble ensues and Ibragimov takes up bottom half-guard to try and slow Olivarez down. He wrestles up and Olivarez snatches a front-headlock, using it to set up a takedown that Ibragimov scrambles out of. Both men are flowing beautifully between wrestling exchanges and guard-play, and Ibragimov ends up on his back when points come into play.
Olivarez is still working incredibly fast to pass but he leaves the tiniest window of opportunity open. Ibragimov starts chasing the back and puts Olivarez under a ton of pressure, forcing him to choose between accepting mount or accepting the back. It takes a while for him to solidify the position but Ibragimov does eventually score, and he rides out the clock on Olivarez’s back.

Diego ‘Pato’ Oliveira vs Ashley Williams
Oliveira pulls guard early and Williams is looking to stay upright when he passes. They’re both working at a slower pace when Oliveira suddenly gets a good grip on the heel, causing Williams to roll free. Williams sits back to trade leg attacks but Oliveira pummels his legs into the saddle, putting him in danger for a moment. Williams recovers and after a few more deep attacks from Oliveira, he takes up top position for the first time in the match.
Points become available and he starts working very hard to pass, eventually getting a deep underhook and forcing his way through. Williams tries to turtle to deny points but he can’t manage it in time, and he gives up back control in the process anyway. The match ends with Oliveira on Williams’ back after a high-scoring sequence.

Ethan Crelinsten vs Ethan Thomas
Thomas gets a good shot early on that puts Crelinsten down, but he can’t keep him there long as Crelinsten wrestles his way back to standing. Crelinsten shoots but Thomas sprawls hard to shut it down, and Crelinsten follows that up with a bodylock entry. Thomas counters with a throw and puts him down, but Crelinsten wrestles up and takes top position just as points come into play. Thomas works his way back to the feet and both men are battling in the clinch, with Crelinsten finding his way through to the bodylock again.
Thomas uses a deep overhook to threaten a counter-throw though and Crelinsten is able to sneak round behind him and take his back very quickly. Crelinsten gets his first hook in and works hard for a few minutes, eventually sliding in the second hook and locking up a body-triangle. Thomas does eventually escape to guard but there’s no time left for him to score any points in return.

Quarter-Finals
Diogo Reis vs Fabricio Andrey
Reis and Andrey meet in the middle and both of them are working patiently for any small opportunity they can get. Andrey tries a footsweep and Reis drives forward off it for the takedown, but they go off the mat to be reset. They continue battling on the feet and drive each other off the mat a few more times, but eventually Reis is able to snatch a single-leg. Andrey keeps his balance and they both carry on working for the takedown. Andrey goes for an uchi mata but Reis counters and throws him, only for Andrey to pop straight back up after it.
Neither man can score a takedown before the regulation period ends, and they pick up right where they left off when overtime begins. Reis picks up a single-leg and he almost gets the takedown but Andrey counters with the threat of an armbar and turtles when it doesn’t work. Reis gets the seatbelt and tries to put a hook in, but Andrey escapes to top position and starts working to pass. Reis fights his way back to the feet and they continue trading takedown attempts for the rest of the round, with Reis getting in on a bodylock a few times even though he couldn’t finish it.

Josh Cisneros vs Kennedy Maciel
Cisneros and Maciel start at a slower pace, but Maciel explodes into a really quick double-leg. Cisneros threatens him with an armbar that allows him to stand up and Maciel tries for a guillotine, but it isn’t tight enough to do anything. Cisneros tries an armdrag but can’t finish it and Maciel picks up a single-leg in return. Cisneros counters with a takedown of his own and latches on to a guillotine when Maciel drops to his knees. Maciel works his way free and just before points are available, Cisneros decides to pull guard. Cisneros gets sight of Maciel’s back and he swings his whole body over the top of Maciel, but he can’t take control and he slides off.
Cisneros starts playing guard and he gets in on the legs, but he can’t expose the heel before Maciel escapes. Cisneros returns to standing shortly after and they start working there, but there isn’t long left before they go to overtime. Jones sits to guard early and Ibragimov drops to engage with him, but Jones elevates him and gets in on his legs. He quickly adapts when Ibragimov rolls and gets the finish with the straight ankle-lock.

Crelinsten escapes briefly but he can’t stay there for long before Oliveira gets back on the same leg and he gets even deeper this time around. Crelinsten defends and Oliveira attempts a sweep, forcing a big defensive reaction from Crelinsten that legs Oliveira get back in on the legs again. He switches to a kneebar quickly this time and bridges in for the tap.

They start battling in the clinch and it takes a little time, but eventually Reis manages to hit a big trip to drop Cisneros to his back. Reis uses a scramble during a guard-passing sequence to attack an arm-in guillotine and he drops to his back to finish it. He can’t get the tap but he hits a beautiful counter-sweep when Cisneros tries to pass and scores for that.
Cisneros wrestles his way back to the feet and starts working hard to find holes in Reis’ standing game. Cisneros shoots and Reis takes a front-headlock, but he can’t do anything with it. Cisneros engages again and this time Reis is able to threaten a back-take during the scramble, settling for top position in the end. Cisneros wrestles up on a single-leg but he can’t finish it before the match ends.

Both men sit to guard immediately and Jones gets in on a leg very quickly. Oliveira stands up but has to drop back down to defend, eventually escaping. Jones is working on a false reap and he inverts to get underneath Oliveira, but Oliveira snatches an ankle in the process and cranking on a straight ankle-lock for the finish.

Final
Diogo Reis vs Diego ‘Pato’ Oliveira
They start out at a relaxed pace and Oliveira jumps to closed guard, accepting a penalty point. Reis passes incredibly quickly and almost solidifies it but the movement allows Oliveira to hit a quick calf-slicer, working towards the back when Reis reacts. Reis defends that too and Oliveira comes up on a leg-drag, eventually settling into half-guard when Reis recovers. Oliveira keeps up the pressure for a while and uses his free leg to staple Reis’ in order to pass to mount.
Reis escapes though and they return to standing, but Oliveira pulls guard again and accepts another penalty point. Reis works to pass but Oliveira gets hold of a leg and starts threatening an ankle-lock that forces Reis to sit down to address it. Both men stay seated as points become available and Oliveira gets hold of another ankle-lock, almost using it to take the back but Reis is able to escape. Oliveira gets around Reis’ leg again and this time he gets deep on a heel hook, cranking it and causing Reis some clear pain in the process. Reis is able to escape and he stands back up to try passing again.
Reis drops into a bodylock but he can’t pass with it, so he tries to dive around instead. Oliveira is able to work his legs into backside 50/50 but Reis scrambles free again, and they repeat that same sequence shortly after. Reis dives on a pass with the bodylock again but this time he slides all the way through, dropping to side control and locking up an arm-triangle choke along the way. Oliveira works to free himself but Reis stays tight and keeps his back to the mat, eventually getting the tap.

Men’s Under 77kg
Opening Round
Galvao puts on a high pace from the start but it’s Paulo who manages to hit a footsweep to put him on his back. Galvao times an entry to the legs perfectly and starts cranking on an ankle-lock, but Paulo disengages to escape and Galvao stands up with him. Galvao hits a lovely takedown of his own but he can’t keep Paulo down, and they work in the clinch again.
Another single-leg from Galvao ends in them being driven off the mat, and Paulo scrambles back to the centre. A flying armbar leads to another quick takedown from Galvao and Paulo tries to escape off the mat, but they let the match continue and Galvao gets his first hook in before the referee stops them to reset. He gets the second hook in on the reset, traps an arm and locks up the choke with one hand soon after.

Taza comes in fast and tries for a single-leg, putting Ramos on his back early. Taza dives on the legs and Ramos tries to scramble free but Taza transitions to a kneebar for one of the quickest taps of the night.

Barch and Caloi are working at a steady pace and Barch is pummelling for underhooks very quickly. They’re putting on a high pace working on the feet and eventually Caloi pulls guard, but Barch doesn’t let him relax and he pressures in immediately. Barch keeps up that high pace and he keeps trying to control Caloi’s hip, but Caloi is doing a great job of pummelling his legs over the top. Barch goes all the way round and finally gets the pass he’s looking for, almost right the way through to north-south.
He’s using heavy pressure to shut down any efforts to reguard from Caloi and every time Caloi is finding it a little harder to do. Caloi manages to make a little space and tries to turn to his knees but Barch almost takes his back in the process. Caloi recovers and he eventually gets back to quarter-guard to wrestle up, but there’s only a few seconds left on the clock when he does so.

Garry Tonon vs Mateusz Szczecinski
Szczecinski sits to guard and Tonon dives on a toehold, but he escapes quickly. Both men are happy to work off their back but Szczecinski is threatening Tonon’s back when he inverts. Szczecinski gets deep on an ankle-lock but Tonon shakes his head and frees his leg when Szczecinski adjusts. Tonon takes up top position and dives on a front-headlock but he gives up his leg in the process, with Szczecinski bailing on it when it isn’t going anywhere. Tonon fires back with some leg attacks of his own, and they’re both happy to stay seated and play that game together even though points are now available.
They keep trading attacks until the time runs out, and Tonon shoots immediately when overtime begins. He gets the takedown but Szczecinski turtles to deny the points and recovers guard after. Tonon is pressuring from top position to try and secure a pass now, but he can’t stop Szczecinski from creating space and all of a sudden Szczecinski fires into a counter-armbar when Tonon over-commits. He bridges with force and Tonon is forced to tap quickly.

Vagner Rocha vs Jeremy Skinner
Skinner pulls guard and Rocha puts him under pressure straight away, dropping in to his knee-shield. Skinner gets an entry to a heel hook and he starts applying it, but Rocha is countering with a toehold of his own. Both of them eventually abandon their attacks and they revert to their original positions. Skinner looks for a kimura briefly but Rocha defends, opening up the opportunity for Skinner to attack a heel hook again.
Rocha spins to defend and picks up his passing game again, eventually getting the backstep in to side control to score points. Skinner eventually works his way to his knees but he gives up his back in the process and Rocha transitions to an armbar early. Skinner escapes but it isn’t long before Rocha finds his way to the back again, finishing the match with a body-triangle locked in and cheering to the crowd.

Gracie and Hanson start out with their hips far away from one another, but Hanson is using heavy collar-ties to wear Gracie down. Hanson pulls guard after a minute and he’s looking for a false reap but Gracie is staying heavy on top to shut it down. Gracie is working patiently to step his knee through but Hanson starts threatening with a lot of offense from the bottom.
Gracie stays calm and eventually finds his way through, forcing Hanson to turtle to prevent the pass and taking his back in the process. Gracie is working for the choke but Hanson is defending well and he even escapes at one point, but Gracie re-takes the back and scores once again for it before the time runs out.

Leon and Dorsey work at a slow pace at first but Dorsey shoots when he sees an opening, diving straight into Leon’s guillotine attempt. Dorsey eventually frees his neck and starts working to pass half-guard, but Leon uses the momentum to set up an entry to the legs. Leon starts exposing the heel but Dorsey scrambles free and both men stand up.
Leon pulls guard and wrestles up from butterfly guard, but he Dorsey hits a beautiful uchi mata to secure a takedown of his own. Leon is back to butterfly guard with double underhooks and he works his way to X-guard, eventually getting deep on an armbar attempt when Dorsey tries to pass. Dorsey stacks him and tries to keep his arm tight, managing to stay safe until the round ends.
Elijah Dorsey defeats Dante Leon via Decision – 2 to 0 on Points
JT Torres vs Alexandre De Jesus
Torres and De Jesus start fast and De Jesus pulls guard, finding X-Guard and elevating Torres to try and hit a sweep. Torres is wise to it though and he balances well, even trying a counter-leglock to stop De Jesus in his tracks. De Jesus pulls again and tries the same elevation from X-Guard but Torres shuts it down quicker now. Torres is starting to get into the rhythm of his pressure-passing game and he’s staying tight to De Jesus, weighing on him with his hips.
Torres is doing an amazing job of passing to the left and right, keeping De Jesus on the defensive the whole time until the regulation period ends. Torres locks up a front-headlock in overtime and he nearly manages to get an inside-trip off it, but De Jesus recovers. Another front-headlock attempt is deeper and Torres uses it to  transition to an arm-in guillotine, eventually getting the tap.

Quarter-Finals
Mica Galvao vs Oliver Taza
Galvao and Taza are happy to stand together but a quick trip sends Taza to the mat, and Galvao starts frantically chasing the back. Taza defends and returns to standing, but it isn’t long before Galvao hits another takedown and he passes straight to mount shortly after. Taza works his way out and gets back up to his feet but another quick takedown forces him to turtle.
Galvao takes the back and scores for it but Taza gets back to his feet again, only to be met with another takedown  that puts him on his back. Taza recovers and gets to his feet but Galvao lands yet another takedown and he turtles to deal with it. Galvao takes the back briefly before Taza gets back to his feet, but it’s long enough to score. Galvao piles on the pressure to land yet another takedown but that’s the last time he scores before the match ends.

PJ Barch vs Mateusz Szczecinski
Szczecinski sits to guard to nullify Barch’s wrestling and he threatens a leglock that forces Barch to sit and address it, but Barch is not in any real trouble. A deeper attempt on the legs from Szczecinski this time but Barch is still able to stay safe and resume passing. Szczecinski gets a lot deeper on his next attempt but Barch counters with a leglock of his own that forces Szczecinski to bail out of it.
Szczecinski attacks the leg again and tries to use the threat to come up for a sweep, but Barch shuts it down. Szczecinski tries the same again and this time he gets very close, but Barch is able to avoid being sat down for long enough. Barch takes advantage of Szczecinski standing to shoot and he escapes the guillotine threat in order to score points right as the match ends.

Vagner Rocha vs Jonnatas Gracie
Rocha comes out hard and he’s using heavy collar-ties to wear down Gracie, but Gracie manages to pick up a single-leg. Rocha attacks a kimura to counter the takedown but he ends up on bottom when Gracie defends it. Gracie is working to pass and Rocha wrestles up, with Gracie disengaging in order to shut it down. Gracie sits to guard and attacks from the bottom, when Rocha suddenly strikes his arm to break a grip. There’s a little pause to address it but they get back to the match and Gracie starts attacking the legs.
Rocha stays safe and he’s able to avoid the danger pretty comfortably, even diving on a heel hook of his own towards the end of the match. The clock runs down and they go to overtime, where Gracie tries for a single-leg that gets shut down. Rocha returns fire with a takedown of his own and scores, stepping in to half-guard straight after. Rocha stays heavy and keeps Gracies movement limited but Gracie does eventually create space, there’s just not enough time left for him to do anything with it.

Torres and Dorsey tie up and they’re both taking a slower pace to work for the openings they want. Dorsey finds his way in on a single-leg and drives Torres off the mat, so the referee resets them in the same position. Torres snaps his foot down to the mat and starts feinting but Dorsey is pushing the pace a little bit harder. Dorsey hits the takedown and Torres tries to lock up a guillotine but it doesn’t stop him from securing it.
Torres wrestles up and dives in on the takedown as soon as points become available, but Dorsey stays standing. Dorsey hits a quick takedown of his own and scores for it but it isn’t long before Torres works his way back up. Dorsey hits an inside-trip but he’s met with another guillotine on the way. He frees his neck and stays in closed guard to secure his points. Torres opens his guard and Dorsey finishes the match working for his pass.

Mica Galvao vs PJ Barch
Galvao picks up a single-leg early and drives Barch off the mats, and Barch stamps his foot to the ground when they get reset. Galvao hits a duck-under and gets behind Barch but he can’t connect his hands during the scramble and Barch manages to face him. Barch hits a beautiful takedown and starts working to pass, but Galvao is controlling him from closed guard well. The points become available and Galvao seems happy to play off his back, using a butterfly sweep to off-balance Barch and he latches on to an arm-in guillotine. He can’t finish it and drops to his back, with Barch looking to drive his knee through the centre.
Barch works frantically to finish the pass but he can’t find his way past Galvao’s guard and the round ends there. Galvao tries a snap-down but Barch recovers quickly, looking to shoot himself but getting stuffed. Another shot by Barch is stuffed and Galvao tries to set up his single-leg with an armdrag, but Barch reacts in time to shut it down. Galvao goes for a big shot and drives Barch off the mat, forcing him to expose his back in the scramble. Galvao works frantically to get his hooks in but there’s only a few seconds left before the match ends.

Vagner Rocha vs Elijah Dorsey
Rocha is using his trademark aggression in the clinch, looking to bully Dorsey around a little. He pushes Dorsey out of bounds and Dorsey pulls guard shortly after, with Rocha dropping down into his closed guard. Rocha stands up to break the guard and Dorsey looks for an underhook on the leg that forces him to drop to his knees again. Rocha eventually manages to get the guard open and he presses forward into half-guard, searching for a way past Dorsey’s knee-shield.
Rocha almost manages to pass at one point but Dorsey retains guard very well, finding his way back to closed guard. Dorsey tries to wrestle up but Rocha stuffs the attempt, and both men are standing now. It’s Dorsey’s turn to drive Rocha off the mat now, and he does so several times when he hunts for the takedown. Dorsey is the one pushing the pace at this point, and the round ends with him being the aggressor.
They start overtime and Rocha picks up the pace a little, feinting and faking level changes. Dorsey feints too and shoots in straight after, but Rocha is able to sprawl and free his legs in order to return to standing. Barch hits a quick takedown and Dorsey seems content to work off his back, eventually setting up a choi bar entry that puts Barch in real danger. Barch turns and rolls through to escape, rolling again before he can free his arm and return to standing. They reset in the centre but it isn’t long before Barch glides through Dorsey’s guard, stepping straight into mount with double underhooks. Dorsey eventually escapes to half-guard and he starts wrestling up, but Barch disengages and they wind up standing.
Dorsey shoots and can’t pick up the single-leg but Barch shoots himself immediately after, hitting the takedown and landing in a guillotine. He escapes and stays in top closed guard to secure the points. Dorsey opens his guard to start attacking the legs and gets in on a heel hook, torquing it for the finish. Barch stays calm though and all of a sudden he leaps into action, slamming on a counter heel hook and forcing the tap.

Rocha shoots for a takedown early on and he powers through to put Galvao down, but Galvao starts to set up an triangle choke. Rocha stands up to address it and breaks the guard open, dropping down with him. Rocha stands and Galvao attacks the legs, transitioning to X-guard when Rocha defends. Rocha strips the hooks and gets back to passing tight to Galvao’s body, pressuring into him to limit his offense. Galvao returns to standing and they start wrestling, with Galvao hitting a beautiful footsweep and landing on top.
Rocha works his way back to the feet and starts using some heavy collar-ties for a little while. Rocha tries a quick takedown when points become available but Galvao counters and takes top position, forcing Rocha to turtle. Galvao takes the back immediately as Rocha stands and he’s applying the rear-naked choke while Rocha is standing, but Rocha shakes him off after a few seconds. Galvao pops back up and they start wrestling again, with Rocha shooting in and getting stuffed.
Galvao hits a quick trip and Rocha turtles to stand back up, with Galvao jumping on his back once again. Rocha pulls him over the top and Galvao lands in front of him, so he starts working for an underhook to pass. Galvao creates space and inverts, standing up when Rocha disengages. Rocha gets a pinch-headlock and Galvao ties a harai goshi to counter, but almost exposes his back in the process. They exchange collar-ties for a while but Galvao hits a lovely ankle-pick, taking Rocha’s back as soon as he turtles. Rocha is working to escape but he opens up his neck in the process, giving Galvao the space he needs to sink in the rear-naked choke.

Bodoni frees his knee-line immediately and now he’s in a great position to pass with heavy hips. He eventually works his leg completely free and takes Porfirio’s back, locking up the rear-naked choke with a body-triangle. Porfirio fights the hands to defend but it’s only a matter of time before he has to tap.

Lilius and Almeida start out slow, with both men working in the clinch. They battle for inside position and a few minutes go by before Lilius decides to sit to guard. Almeida shuts down his offense well and tries to use a front-headlock to pass, but Lilius is able to escape and get back to playing guard. Almeida gets closer to passing this time and Lilius turtles, but he gives up his back and Almeida scores points when he gets his hooks in. Lilius gets his back to the mat and he gets caught in an arm-triangle choke along the way, with Almeida taking mount. Lilius eventually escapes and takes up top position just before the match ends.

Cruz is using heavy posts on Pearman’s head and trying to stay upright, passing from his feet. Pearman starts being a little more aggressive off his back and looks to make contact himself now, probing with his legs. Cruz tries to blitz through Pearman’s guard but Pearman retains well, and the referee warns them both for inactivity. Cruz starts working harder to pass laterally but Pearman is retaining guard comfortably, and he attempts a sweep just before the clock runs out.
They engage on the feet and Cruz shoots in for the takedown, but Pearman turtles to deny the points. Pearman gets back to guard and he’s working hard off his back but Cruz is circling around and keeping his distance. Pearman gets in on his arm briefly but Cruz escapes again, and Cruz is keeping up a high pace on the top but without committing too much. The clock runs down from there with neither man getting anything off.

Couch and costa start out pretty slow, with Costa reaching for the legs and Couch looking to tie him up. Couch sits to guard after a few minutes and Costa is keeping his legs far back when he’s passing. Costa drops in at the right time to take up position in half-guard and he works on pressuring Couch, while Couch is trying to set up a choi bar. Costa is doing a great job of avoiding any threat from Couch while staying tight to him.
Couch gets in on the legs and tries to get to outside ashi but Costa is very heavy on top, using a head and arm control to shut him down. Couch won’t release the grip though and the regulation time ends with them stuck in a stalemate. They wrestle in overtime and Couch is forced to turtle in one exchange, with Costa taking his back immediately. He works patiently from there to sink the choke in, and eventually he gets what he’s looking for.

Rodriguez and Rocha immediately get to work at an incredibly high pace. Lots of feints and handfighting from both men as they try and look for holes in each other’s wrestling. Rodriguez latches on to the crucifix in a scramble but Rocha backward-rolls out cleanly, and Rodriguez transitions to a triangle choke shortly after. Rocha scrambles free again and they return to the feet, but this time he shoots in and gets a hold of Rodriguez’s back.
Rodriguez counters and attacks the legs, but Rocha scrambles free and accepts bottom position to escape. Rodriguez drops in to pass but Rocha secures closed guard, and initiates a scramble that lasts for several seconds. They trade top position multiple times but Rocha eventually loses contact and they stop the match to attend to a cut he has. It’s a long break but a scramble after the reset sees Rodriguez take the back, and he locks up the rear-naked choke to submit Rocha in dramatic fashion.

Hinger finds his way to X-guard but Wojcik threatens him with a leg attack immediately, and Hinger scrambles to top position to deal with it. Wojcik starts attacking the legs again but Hinger counters with a back-take, and Wojcik escapes to guard soon after. Hinger tries to pass and Wojcik locks up an aoki lock that has him in trouble, but Hinger eventually manages to escape. Hinger stands and Wojcik spins underneath him to backside 50/50, exposing the heel there and torquing it back to the frontside for the tap.

Michell and Negromonte clash immediately and they fly off the mats, forcing an early reset. Negromonte pulls guard after the reset and Michell is keeping control of his legs to try and pass to north-south. Negromonte inverts to shut the pass down and eventually wrestles back up, with both men working on the feet again. They fight for inside position in the clinch and they’re leaning heavily on each other, but Negromonte sits to guard again just before points become available. Negromonte tries to wrestle up for a sweep but he can’t finish it and they wind up standing together again.
A wild scramble ensues and they go on to another mat, but neither man can secure a proper position before the reset. Michell drives Negromonte off the mat and into the commentary table, so they get reset again. Michell latches on to a front-headlock and tries to use it to send Negromonte to the mat but he can’t quite get it to work. Michell tries for the takedown again and there’s a brief scramble but the match ends before he can score.
They start wrestling again and Negromonte receives a penalty for inactivity early on, with Michell hitting a throw-by soon after. Negromonte turtles and Michell starts to take the back, but Negromonte turns to his back and receives another penalty for it. Negromonte rolls through for a kneebar and bridges in to force the tap very quickly.

They lock up and Almeida lands a huge throw immediately, dumping Bodoni to the ground. Bodoni recovers guard and stands up and they engage again, but this time Almeida shoots and forces a scramble that allows him to get sight of Bodoni’s back. He locks his legs around him but he’s off to the side, and Bodoni turns into him to take top position.
Almeida works his way to his feet and they start battling in the clinch as points become available, with Bodoni hitting a lovely footsweep that forces Almeida to turtle. Bodoni can’t take the back but he gets top position, working hard to turn Almeida over. He gets the back exposure and sinks his hooks in, trying to set up the choke at the same time. Almeida gets his back to the mat and Bodoni takes mount, before switching back to back control before the match ends.

Costa sits to guard and Cruz gets close with a pass almost immediately, forcing him to turtle. Cruz secures the front-headlock and sets up anaconda choke, but he can’t finish it and Costa escapes. Costa sits down again, and Cruz engages a little too confidently this time. Costa gets a look at his legs but Cruz stays calm and gets out of danger as quick as he can. Cruz goes back to passing at a high pace and he’s trying to move laterally around Costa’s guard to avoid any danger.
He ends up getting caught in closed guard so he stays tight to Costa, limiting his movement. Cruz tries to pass and as he opens up, Costa is able to hit a quick sweep to score points. Costa dives on a leg to look for a heel hook but he can’t get it and ends up giving up his back in the process. Cruz takes a seatbelt and tries to put his hooks in, but he doesn’t have enough time left to do it.

Aitken is elevating Rodriguez with butterfly hooks over and over again, but every time Rodriguez just re-balances and keeps passing. He steps in to mount again, giving it up again when under threat of a sweep.
Rodriguez forces back exposure with another pass but he doesn’t score as it’s just before the halfway point. Aitken escapes and reguards but Rodriguez passes soon after, scoring and transitioning to the back for more points immediately after. Rodriguez takes his time working for the choke and he has a few close attempts, but the time runs out before he can finish it.

Negromonte tries for a leg attack of his own but Wojcik deals with it comfortably and takes up top position in the following scramble. Wojcik is using a heavy passing game, dropping to hisknees and trying to shut down any offense Negromonte can offer.
Wojcik keeps up the pressure but he can’t get through before the regulation period ends, and he shoots soon after overtime begins. No luck on the early shot though and another one soon after is also stuffed by Negromonte. Wojcik shoots again and this time he sits back when it’s shut down, letting him get back to attacking the legs. Wojcik has a close attempt but he can’t get to the finish before the match ends.

Bodoni is leaning heavy on the collar-tie to wear Costa down but Costa comes back at him by pushing the pace. Costa gets an underhook and dives in for a bodylock, pursuing the takedown very aggressively. Bodoni drops to the ground to get butterfly hooks in and they get reset in the centre. The pace slows a little now that Costa has top position, and he’s doing a good job of keeping his hips back to avoid any elevation.
Bodoni hits an entry to the legs from the bottom but Costa is spinning quickly to try and free his knee-line, eventually escaping when Bodoni tries to expose the heel. Costa stands up to pass and Bodoni wrestle up, taking the back and dragging him down to the mat with one hook in. Costa recovers to half guard and the round ends with them stuck there. Bodoni starts chasing the back from standing early on but they drift out of bounds and get reset with Bodoni in the rear-bodylock.
Bodoni hits a mat return but he can’t take the back at first, so he traps an arm and transitions to the crucifix. Costa spins out and wrestles up, returning to standing with Bodoni. There’s another scramble after a Bodoni takedown attempt and it ends with Bodoni getting a seatbelt grip and his first hook in. He gets the second hook to score points and locks up a choke, but he can’t finish it before the time runs out.

Rodriguez keeps up the pace and drops into a bodylock pass, but Wojcik gets closed guard to make things difficult. Wojcik gets close with a K-guard entry but it lets Rodriguez pass and Wojcik has to turtle to deny the points. Wojcik escapes just before the round ends.
Wojcik shoots but Rodriguez sprawls and climbs over the top of him to wrap his legs around the waist. Wojcik recovers to guard but Rodriguez throws him back over to his knees. Costa drops back for a leg attack of his own but Wojcik’s defense from there is excellent. Wojcik keeps attacking from his back but Costa is getting better at shutting him down and pressuring in to him for the pass. He gets close on one pass and Wojcik turtles, with Costa immediately sinking his hooks in and forcing him face-down into the mat. Wojcik escapes but not before the points are scored, and the match ends shortly after.

Rodriguez is putting on a high pace against Bodoni but he’s on the receiving end of some heavy collar-ties. Bodoni escapes and Rodriguez turtles to stand back up, but Bodoni is able to keep him in turtle and slide one hook in with a power-half nelson. Rodriguez stands and Bodoni slides off him, so he quickly passes to side control.
Bodoni reguards and Rodriguez backs away, so Bodoni stands up with him again. Another single-leg takedown lands for Rodriguez and Bodoni tries to grab an arm-in guillotine but Rodriguez frees his neck. Rodriguez passes to mount very quickly and Bodoni works very hard to recover, creating space to get his legs back in between them. Bodoni tries to wrestle up but Rodriguez forces him back down and drives him off the mat, scrambling to secure a pass off the opening.
He can’t quite secure it and they get reset, with Bodoni throwing up an omoplata soon after. Rodriguez deals with it pretty comfortably. Rodriguez gets a bodylock briefly but Bodoni creates enough space to keep him at bay. Points become available and Rodriguez springs over in to north-south immediately, but Bodoni just recovers in time. Another quick pass forces Bodoni to turtle and Rodriguez almost takes the back, but Bodoni escapes to standing.
Both men shoot and there’s a brief scramble, with Bodoni holding on to a leg and eventually working his way behind Rodriguez. Bodoni gets a hook in and uses the power-half nelson to break Rodriguez down, steadily working in his second hook to score points. Rodriguez clears a hook but Bodoni gets the second hook back in to score again, even though Rodriguez escapes to the top position right after. Bodoni tries an omoplata but Rodriguez escapes and gets back to quick passing attempts that put Bodoni under pressure.
Rodriguez starts moving laterally very quickly and launches into a cartwheel pass, but Bodoni tracks him and faces him. Rodriguez starts passing quicky again and he dives on a straight ankle-lock, but Bodoni comes up on top to deal with it. He keeps up the pressure and eventually frees his leg, forcing Rodriguez to his back and landing in half-guard. Bodoni gets double underhooks and uses it to pass to score another three points right before the match ends.

Duarte is putting on a good pace with his passing attempts and he eventually forces his way through to half-guard. Schuardt works hard to create a little space and he recovers back to open guard. Schuardt turtles to prevent a pass and gives up his back in the process, with Duarte locking up a body-triangle and driving him into the mat. Schuardt escapes and gets to top position but Duarte quickly latches on to a straight armbar, cranking it for the tap.

Moody and Ardila work at a relaxed pace on the feet at first, with Ardila sitting to guard a little after the first minute. Moody is working his passing from a standing position at first, only looking to drop to a knee when he might get past the hips. Ardila works his way back to a standing position but after a little work in the clinch, he sits to guard once again. Ardila wrestles up when moody makes contact but Moody disengages, and Ardila chooses to stay standing as points become available. They start handfighting and Moody drives him off the mat but Ardila is starting to pick up the pace a little and he pressures Moody to the edge of the mats in return.
A wild scramble in the dying seconds sees Ardila working to take Moody’s back, but the time runs out. They’re both working on the feet in overtime, but Ardila is given a penalty after some inactivity and he’s forced to pick up the pace. Ardila is working harder now and he reaches for single-legs a few times but he can’t finish it, although he does get close with an inside-trip. Moody is excellent at shutting it all down and shoots in for a takedown of his own, but the match ends shortly after.

Abreu and Goto lock up on the feet and they’re both trying to use heavy collar-ties to wear each other down. Goto snatches a single-leg but he can’t finish it, and Abreu has very heavy hips that are making life hard for Goto when he shoots in afterward. Goto shoots again and he picks up a single-leg, but Abreu uses a deep overhook to threaten an uchi mata and disengage. Abreu suddenly bursts into action and hits a quick trip to score the first points of the match, and Goto pops up just after they get put on the board. Goto eventually pulls guard to work from the bottom but Abreu passes in the final seconds of the match.

Zaruski is heavy with a collar-tie and snaps Cardoso down, but Cardoso scrambles up and Zaruski takes an accidental headbutt to the face that stops the match. They reset after a long break and Zaruski is heavy with his collar-ties again. Cardoso shoots in but there’s another accidental contact and break in the action, with Cardoso clearly being frustrated by the pauses. After a little more wrestling, Cardoso drives forward and they both go off the mats to get reset. Cardoso sits to guard after another reset and tries to wrestle up, but Zaruski sprawls heavily and gets around to his back.
Cardoso recovers and gets back to guard, wrestling up and getting in on Zaruski’s hips for a double-leg. Zaruski sprawls and turns Cardoso to his back, getting through to side control just before the points become available. Cardoso wrestles in to Zaruski but gives up his back briefly, before bailing out back to bottom side control. Cardoso gives up his back when wrestling up again and this time Zaruski is able to secure the position, sliding both hooks in and locking up the rear-naked choke to force the tap.

Maciulewicz sits to guard and Meregali looks very calm in passing, keeping up a high pace right from the start. Maciulewicz is clearly looking for an inversion and it’s stopping Meregali’s passing attempts. Meregali motions to the officials and they start checking Maciulewicz‘s legs for grease, wiping him down while he looks clearly confused. Meregali starts passing again but another inversion from Maciulewicz sees him getting close to the legs, so Meregali disengages to escape. Maciulewicz latches on to a front-headlock but Meregali scrambles free and when Maciulewicz inverts this time, he’s ready and he counters with a kimura. Meregali works it for a few seconds before he’s able to get the tap.

Ferreira sits down and Pixley engages, but Ferreira tries to wrestle up as soon as he does. Pixley shuts it down and wraps up a front-headlock to pass, but Ferreira scrambles free. Ferreira stays on the bottom and Pixley is working patiently, clearly looking for that guillotine with a few attempts. Pixley kicks up the pace in to high gear when points become available and he pressures forward, getting sucked into Ferreira’s closed guard for his troubles.
After a little more work from both men, the referee warns them both for inactivity just before the time runs out. Pixley is working hard for armdrags and footsweeps right from the start of overtime, with Ferreira scrambling to stay upright. Pixley gets poked in the eye and there’s a little break, but Ferreira is able to get back into the wrestling exchanges when they reset. Ferreira shoots and Pixley snatches a front-headlock, quickly transitioning to a D’arce choke in order to get the tap.

Lovato Jr and Braz are both looking very strong in the clinch at first, with neither man willing to give anything up. Lovato Jr pulls guard eventually and he drags Braz into closed guard, but Braz is doing a good job of standing to shut down the offense. Lovato Jr tries to use an underhook on the legs to set up his attack but Braz is wise to it and sprawls out to shut it down. Braz stands again and Lovato Jr is working very hard off his back but he can’t really get anything going. Braz tries to attack the legs but Lovato Jr counters immediately and finds his way to Porfirio’s back, securing both hooks just a few seconds before the match ends.

Gaudio sits to guard immediately and Grandy is working to pass, but an accidental eyepoke to Gaudio causes a little break in the action. Grandy tries a quick pass after the reset but it lets Gaudio create some space, and Gaudio uses it to attack his legs. Grandy disengages to defend and gets back to work passing the guard. Gaudio gets in on the legs but a toehold from Grandy causes him to abandon the position.

Moody turtles and Duarte locks up a body-triangle, but Moody stands up to break free of the lock. Duarte releases with his legs but keeps a bodylock and Moody drops down to the mat to turtle. Duarte locks up an arm-in guillotine in the scramble and Moody fights it valiantly, but Duarte eventually gets the tap.

Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu vs Javier Zaruski
Abreu and Zaruski start out at a slower pace and they’re both leaning on each other in the clinch. Abreu hits a quick footsweep but doesn’t capitalise on it, and he keeps up the pace with another takedown attempt shortly after. Abreu is on the offensive more than Zaruski and he eventually gets to his back, chaining his takedown attempts as they go off the mat. They get reset to standing and Abreu is still working at a higher pace than Zaruski and keeping him on the back foot.
Points become available and Abreu keeps chaining his attempts together, eventually hitting the takedown he needs to score. Zaruski fights his way back up to standing and he’s working with a double collar-tie, trying to meet the pace Abreu set earlier. He works hard in the time he has left, but there’s no takedown for Zaruski before the match ends.

Meregali meets Pixley confidently but Pixley tests him with a quick footsweep, before throwing him to the mat with authority. Pixley drops to his knees to pass and Meregali is working from Z-guard, looking to wrestle up when Pixley gives him space. Pixley does a good job of keeping the right amount of distance to avoid Meregali’s guard without fully disengaging.
Pixley explodes on a quick leaping knee-slice pass and almost gets it, but Meregali turns and escapes. Meregali wrestles up on a single-leg as the points become available but he can’t finish the takedown, and Pixley counters with an uchi mata to a quick D’arce Choke that forces Meregali to tap immediately. Meregali stays down on the mat afterward and it appears as though he might have injured his shoulder when Pixley threw him.

Gaudio sits down and Lovato Jr starts engaging cautiously with his guard. Lovato Jr is looking for a bodylock pass and he forces his way through to half-guard and Gaudio hurts his finger in a scramble. After a little look from the doctors they reset and Gaudio gets in on the legs early, but Lovato Jr escapes and launches straight into an arm-in guillotine when Gaudio comes up. It doesn’t take long from there for him to get the tap.

Lovato Jr pulls guard after a few wrestling exchanges and Pixley threatens him with an aoki lock, forcing him to defend and scramble back to his feet. Lovato Jr sits to guard again after another brief exchange on the feet, and Pixley is being very patient with his passing attempts. Pixley alternates between an over-under pass and a double-under pass that puts Lovato Jr under a lot of pressure, but he can’t quite consolidate the pass before Lovato Jr recovers guard.
Pixley is flanking repeatedly and the referee gives him a warning for stalling, quickly followed by another one for more inactivity. Pixley works for another over-under pass but Lovato Jr shoots for a triangle choke that helps him recover, and the round ends shortly after. They work on the feet in overtime but Pixley has slowed down and he’s given a penalty for inactivity. Pixley shoots for a single-leg but Lovato Jr stuffs it, and he tries a throw-by after but he can’t take advantage of it. Lovato Jr is playing defensively now and he receives a penalty too, with neither man scoring before the time runs out.

They start out working on the feet but Abreu pulls guard eventually. Pixley is very cautious, trying not to engage with Abreu’s open guard too much and moving side to side to look for openings. Abreu appears frustrated and he motions to Pixley to tell him to engage more. Pixley starts to pass just before the points become available and Abreu turtles to begin his wrestling up sequence, but Pixley grabs the front-headlock. He threatens the arm-in guillotine but he can’t finish it and Abreu uses the situation to put him on his back and pass his guard. Abreu works his way to mount and is very heavy on top, riding out the clock in a dominant position.

Both men are working hard for dominant position in the clinch, but neither one of them is able to get anything going for a while. Duarte shoots but Lovato Jr blocks it and lifts him back up, going back to the battle in the clinch. Duarte gets in on a double-leg and secures the takedown, dropping into half-guard to start passing. Lovato Jr is trying to pull a leg through to attack it but Duarte stays heavy on top and shuts down any chance of offense. Duarte works his way to a crossface and flattens Lovato Jr out, getting chest-to-chest and slowing things down.
Lovato Jr creates space but it lets Duarte skip over into a leg-drag position and finish the pass right before points become available. He steps off and back into mount as the points become available in order to score for the transition. Reed escapes and works to his feet, scoring a quick takedown to get some points on the board. Pena hits a sweep after a while and scores for it, taking a crushing side control before stepping into mount again. Pena switches into the armbar when Reed tries to escape and bridges in to get the tap.

Hansen sits to guard and after a little break in the action he hits an armdrag to take Jussila’s back, steadily working for the choke. Jussila manages to escape after a while but Hansen maintains top position, and passes his guard soon after. Jussila turns to turtle and this gives Hansen the chance to start working to his back again, but Jussila stays safe and comes up on top to work on passing Hansen’s guard.
Jussila is very patient this time and he’s leaning heavily on him in half-guard. He starts working for the pass but there’s not enough time left on the clock, and they go to overtime. Hansen shoots and then drops to his back when he’s unsuccessful, and Jussila does a good job of passing patiently without rushing anything. He can’t secure anything and Hansen can’t get much offense going off his back, so they go to decision.

Ramos works patiently to get his hooks in and is able to break Magalhaes down but Magalhaes defends very well and scrambles back to his feet. Ramos is working hard to take the back but the time runs out and they go to overtime. Magalhaes shoots in early but he’s nowhere near finishing it so he stands back up. He pulls guard now and Ramos starts working to pass, once again exposing Magalhaes’ back in the process. Ramos tries to trap an arm for the crucifix but Magalhaes shrugs him off. Another guard pass by Ramos leads to another attempt at taking the back and they run down the clock with Ramos working on a half nelson.

Saunders pressures into half-guard just as the points become available, but Perez gets enough space to return to his feet.
They start working from there and Perez is picking up the pace a little, but it’s a struggle to off-balance the bigger Saunders. Saunders reaches for the single-leg and scores with it, but Perez turtles to deny the points. Saunders secures the back to score but he can’t hold it for long before Perez escapes to his feet. Perez shoots but Saunders sprawls heavily on him, and the time runs out before he can finish it.

Another uchi mata attempt from Manasoiu and he tries to change direction to attack the legs but Macqueen defends well. Manasoiu hits a sweep as soon as points become available and Macqueen turtles, with Manasoiu taking his back. Macqueen clears the hooks after the points are scored but Manasoiu stays tight to his back and slowly works them back in. Macqueen clears them again but there isn’t enough time left in the match for him to stand up.

Pena does manage to get Saunders to open up after a while and he attacks a kneebar, but Saunders drops to his back to defend. Pena can’t finish it or come up for a sweep before Saunders gets back up on top.
Pena uses a bear-trap to expose the back but he can’t quite secure it before Saunders recovers and gets back up on top, shortly before the time runs out. They battle for inside position in the clinch and Pena uses an underhook to set up a decent shot, but he can’t finish it. Griffith stands up and fakes one way before diving the other way and almost landing in north-south. Pena is using a knee-shield to keep Griffith away but Griffith steps over it and passes wide again, with Pena turtling in defense.
Griffith launches into the back-take and they roll several times while he’s putting his hooks in, eventually coming up to a quarter-guard instead. Pena gets back to half-guard and works his way back to the feet, shooting in for a double-leg takedown from there. Basilio bridges in to the heel hook but she can’t finish it and Basilio comes up on top. Larissa sits her down and attempts the finish again but she can’t get it, and Basilio puts on some great pressure from the top when she escapes.
Larissa tries to wrestle up at one point but gets shut down, and Basilio manages to get close with a guard pass shortly after. Larissa turtles and Basilio is able to take the back, locking up a body-triangle and digging for the rear-naked choke. Larissa eventually escapes but it’s right before the end of the match and she has no time to do anything else.

Enriquez works to pass and Rodrigues is trying to attack the legs, but it gives Enriquez the opportunity to chase the back. A beautiful reversal sees Rodrigues come up on top but Enriquez turtles to prevent any points being scored.
Enriquez rolls to her back and manages to hang on to a leg to stand up and secure a rear-bodylock, she lands a quick throw but can’t score before overtime. They start fighting on the feet but they both receive warnings after a few minutes of inactivity. Enriquez pursues Rodrigues to the edge of the mat and shoots there, but Rodrigues sprawls and grabs the front-headlock. Enriquez frees herself and sits back, before working back to the feet just before the match ends.

Fornarino sits to guard and Bastos takes up top position, with both women keeping up a high pace from their respective positions. Bastos is looking to control Fornarino’s ankles in order to limit her usage of hooks as she drives her knee through the centre of her guard. Bastos alternates between passing and attacking the legs, accepting the bottom position in one exchange right before points come into play. Fornarino is working to pass now and Bastos is inverting over and over again, keeping her in danger the whole time.
Fornarino is able to keep Bastos’ offense more limited for the last few minutes but neither woman can score as the regulation period ends. They start working on the feet and they’re both being pretty active, with Fornarino getting a bloody nose in one particular exchange. After the officials see to her nose, Fornarino comes out quicker and shoves Bastos off the mat. They stay on the feet for the rest of the overtime period as neither woman can land the takedown before the overtime ends.

Rocha catches an ankle-lock and starts cranking on it, forcing Ciccarelli to roll in order to relieve the pressure. They continue trading attacks from a double-guard pull scenario for a while but Ciccarelli eventually comes up on top towards the end  of the match. She keeps her leg safe by standing up completely but Rocha stands up with her soon after. Rocha chases her with the bodylock and tries to drag Ciccarelli to the mat, forcing her to turtle and scoring points by taking the back with seconds left in the match.

She can’t finish it and Basilio threatens with a leglock of her own that looks deeper, but Rodrigues eventually works her way free. They pick the action back up with Basilio on the bottom and she tries to attack the legs again but Rodrigues is able to stay safe, and the time runs out shortly after.
They pick up the pace a little in overtime and both women are feinting, but it takes a few minutes before Basilio charges forward more aggressively. She’s a little too aggressive and hits Rodrigues in the face as she moves backward, but it’s purely accidental. They clinch again and Rodrigues drives forward now, pushing Basilio off the mat before she can get anything going. Rodrigues shoots and picks up a single-leg in the  dying seconds of overtime but it’s far too late for her to finish it.

She starts working to set up an arm-triangle choke but Lowenthal is aware of the danger and she’s able to deal with it. Mesquita sets up another arm-triangle choke on the other side and this one is deeper, but Lowenthal survives again. Lowenthal reguards but Mesquita passes back to mount soon after, scoring points this time around. Lowenthal turns to escape but Mesquita locks up the choke and gets the finish very soon after.
Beatriz ‘Bia’ Mesquita defeats Sula-Mae Lowenthal via Submission – Rear-naked Choke
Leve pulls guard and she’s working from reverse de la riva with a butterfly hook, trying to elevate Vieira. Vieira is using a grip on the back of her neck to shut it down and she’s trying to stay heavy on top, but Leve is off-balancing her enough to make it difficult. Vieira briefly backsteps to the saddle but she abandons it to try to pass instead. Vieira flattens her out in half-guard and she has a strong passing position with the crossface, using her free leg to staple Leve’s legs down.
Leve is able to prevent the pass and she eventually creates enough distance to get back to her feet, locking up a rear-bodylock on Vieira in the process. She drags Vieira down to the mat and gets one hook in, but she can’t get the second in before the time runs out. They start overtime on the feet and Leve shoots, but Vieira stuffs it and threatens her with the front-headlock to make her back out. Neither woman is able to get in on the other’s hips enough to get a good takedown attempt before the overtime ends though.

Ste-Marie and Black start out slow and Ste-Marie is looking for a Russian 2-on-1 to set up her takedowns. Ste-Marie hits an armdrag and almost gets on to Black’s back but she can’t secure it before she turns back into her. Ste-Marie chains another takedown attempt immediately into a back-take and gets Black to the ground with both hooks in. Points don’t become available until afterward and Black is able to stay safe for several minutes, even removing one hook.
She’s still face-down though and Ste-Marie is piling on the pressure from the top when Black recovers quarter-guard. The time winds down and Ste-Marie can’t pass to score, so they go to overtime. Both women are struggling to land a takedown but Black is definitely more aggressive and working more in overtime. Black is pushing the pace and driving Ste-Marie off the mat a few times, eventually getting a takedown. Ste-Marie turtles and denies the points but Black finishes the round by working to take the back.

They work at a slow pace, with neither woman in a rush. The first few minutes are largely uneventful, with both women being called to action just before the points become available. There’s another few minutes with both women battling in the clinch and Mesquita picks up the pace a little, driving Vieira off the mat. Mesquita hits a nice footsweep that drops Vieira to her knees, but she recovers quickly.
Vieira shoots in and manages to pick up a single-leg, but she can’t finish the takedown before the regulation time period ends. They pick up the pace a little in overtime but neither woman is able to get any convincing offense to work, with the closest part being Vieira attempting a single-leg. Neither of them actually scores before the time runs out though.

Brianna Ste-Marie vs Helena Crevar
They lock up and Crevar drops to guard soon after, with Ste-Marie being cautious as she looks for her knee-slice pass. Ste-Marie does a brilliant job of shutting down any offense from Crevar, as Crevar is clearly looking to attack the legs. Both women start working a lot faster when the points become available, with Crevar trying to set up her attacks from reverse de la riva. Crevar inverts and Ste-Marie has to drop back to defend it, escaping soon after.
Another inversion for Crevar and Ste-Marie shuts it down quicker this time, stepping over Crevar’s shoulder and working to lock up a rear-triangle choke. Crevar escapes and Ste-Marie tries to transition to an armbar, forcing Crevar to escape that as well. Crevar stands up and Ste-Marie almost manages to get sight of her back, but she falls off and turtles. Crevar gets her hooks and scores with a body-triangle, but she can’t improve from there before the match ends.

Beatriz ‘Bia’ Mesquita vs Brianna Ste-Marie
They each start working patiently and neither woman is willing to over-commit, so they’re pretty slow for the first few minutes. Ste-Marie springs into action with a quick armdrag and chains it with a shot that puts Mesquita down, but she works her way back to her feet shortly after. They settle back into the slower rhythm and there’s another armdrag from Ste-Marie, but this one doesn’t get as far as the first.
Mesquita gets a warning for inactivity shortly after, and she starts to work for heavier collar-ties now. Ste-Marie hits another armdrag but can’t connect it to the single-leg. Mesquita shoots and Ste-Marie attacks the guillotine but she can’t get it and turtles to deny the points. Mesquita chases the back but she can’t get her hooks in before the regulation period ends.
They resume the slower pace but Ste-Marie shoots and Mesquita sprawls, spinning to the back quickly. Mesquita has the choke in and works for the hooks too, but she can’t finish or take the back fully before Ste-Marie escapes. They pick up the pace in the clinch and Ste-Marie tries for another shot but she can’t get anywhere near finishing it before the match ends.

Ana Vieira vs Helena Crevar
Both women are looking for a dominant position in the clinch, with Crevar searching for a 2-on-1 grip at first. Vieira is showing her experience though, as she looks very relaxed when working for her own grips and might even be waiting for points to become available. Vieira starts feinting a little and Crevar steps in for an uchi mata, but Vieira’s hips are much too far away for Crevar to lift her. Crevar tries another uchi mata and she drops to the ground off it, with Vieira taking up top position.
Vieira is heavy with her knee-slice pass and she manages to get into a double-under pass when Crevar creates space. Crevar threatens to pull the arm through with an underhook so Vieira abandons the position. Vieira steps back in and Crevar gets a de la riva hook, using a deep underhook to grip her own shin. Crevar tries to get to shin-on-shin but Vieira stays heavy and she works a deep underhook in, almost managing to secure the pass with it before Crevar recovers.
Vieira backs away to keep safe from Crevar’s offense off the back but she engages again soon after. There’s a little more work in the guard and Crevar manages to get an opportunity to attack the legs, working to expose Vieira’s heel. Vieira turns to escape and Crevar starts to wrestle up, but Vieira shoves her back down immediately. Crevar gets the false reap when Vieira steps in but she can’t do anything with it, and Vieira clears the foot off.
Vieira dives in to a double-under pass again and she’s deeper this time so she drives Crevar over her own head. Crevar recovers back to guard though and inverts to attack  the leg, this time getting a good grip and pummelling her legs inside to reap. Vieira stays standing and strips the legs off but eventually she has to sit to defend. Crevar tries to come up but Vieira keeps her down and as Crevar starts to expose the heel, Vieira turns away from her to free her knee-line. They continue the same battle in guard and Vieira drops for another double-under pass, but she can’t score with it before the round ends.
They start standing in overtime and after a little battle, Vieira attempts a takedown. Crevar snatches a guillotine and accepts bottom position to try and finish it, bailing and standing back up when it fails. Crevar attempts an uchi mata and drops to the bottom when it fails, but Vieira secures a crossface in the process and starts to drive Crevar into the mat. Vieira keeps her pressure up and pummels one leg free, maintaining head and arm control while she staples Crevar’s legs to finish the pass. Crevar tries to turtle but Vieira gets a deep head and arm control to prevent it, and Crevar recovers to half-guard instead.

Vieira steps over into mount and scores for it, but Crevar is able to recover half-guard again shortly after. She finds her way back to open guard and hits the false reap entry quickly, but Vieira stands and strips the leg to deal with the threat. Crevar grabs an arm and swings her legs for the armbar but Vieira easily breaks the grip and drops back in to pass again. Vieira rides out the clock in top position and Crevar can’t create enough space to get any offense off.

Amy Campo vs Nikki Lloyd-Griffiths
Lloyd-Griffiths pulls guard when Campo engages and they return to the feet shortly after. Lloyd-Griffiths hits an armdrag into a single-leg but she can’t secure it, and Campo returns fire with a takedown of her own. Campo is heavy on top and driving her knee through the centre, slowly grinding her way through Lloyd-Griffiths‘ guard. Lloyd-Griffiths creates enough space to recover but she can’t keep Campo off her for long and Campo is back to pressuring into her guard.
Campo attempts a double-under pass just before points come in to play, and she’s able to use it to start her passing sequence off. Campo secures the pass and scores because of it, adding more points to her tally by going to knee on belly. Lloyd-Griffiths turtles to escape but that gives Campo the chance to take her back, and she slides one hook in with a seatbelt grip. Campo transitions to an arm-triangle choke and eventually manages to force the tap.

Nathiely De Jesus vs Elizabeth Mitrovic
De Jesus sts to guard and she’s inverting immediately when Mitrovic drops down. Mitrovic tries to stand tall and De Jesus hits a clean double-ankle sweep, but she doesn’t come up on top after it. Another sweep and this time she does take top position, but it isn’t long before Mitrovic is inverting herself in order to attack the legs. They both stay seated to trade leg attacks and De Jesus gets a really good bite on the ankle, but Mitrovic pummels frantically to escape.
Mitrovic takes up top position eventually and finds herself in an omoplata when she engages, but she deals with it well. De Jesus is chaining together several attacks and is able to keep Mitrovic on the defensive constantly. De Jesus wrestles up and tries to secure a takedown but she has to bail back to guard, and the regulation period ends there.
De Jesus attempts a footsweep from standing but gets met with a front-headlock for her troubles and Mitrovic quickly turns round to her back. Mitrovic can’t keep the position though and De Jesus drops back to guard, working her attacks and eventually scrambling up for a quick sweep when Mitrovic defends. There’s not long left on the clock and they finish the match with De Jesus patiently working to pass.

Guedes and Blackman are both happy to battle it out on the feet, and they’re both aggressive in the clinch. Guedes drives Blackman off the mat a few times and this is a really tough match for both women. They travel off the mat again and get reset in an over-under clinch, but they break it off quickly. Guedes finally scores with a takedown during another trip off the mat, scoring the first points as they get reset again.
Blackman works her way back up to the feet and they’re back to the same battle they started out with. They travel off the mats a few more times but neither woman can get another takedown so Blackman throws up a flying armbar, getting shut down as the match ends.

Kendall Reusing vs Maria Ruffatto
Ruffatto pulls guard and Reusing dives in to meet her straight away, so Ruffato locks up a guillotine in response. It’s not that much trouble for Reusing though and she breaks free. Ruffatto holds closed guard for a while but Reusing eventually manages to break it open and starts to work on a knee-slice pass. She gets close with it at one point but Ruffatto works her way back to closed guard again.
Ruffatto swings into an armbar but Reusing escapes and nearly passes, taking Ruffatto’s back when she turtles and scoring the first points of the match. Ruffatto tries to escape but Reusing re-takes the back and locks up a rear-naked choke for the submission win.

Amy Campo vs Nathiely De Jesus
De Jesus and Campo start handfighting patiently, but Campo rips an armdrag that almost allows her to set up a takedown. De Jesus pulls guard shortly after and Campo is working to pass from standing. De Jesus manages to get underneath Campo and starts to threaten her legs but Campo drops, counters with an attack of her own, and returns to standing shortly after. De Jesus attacks the leg again and she tries to use it to sweep, but Campo does a brilliant job of maintaining balance while also freeing her leg.
De Jesus wrestles up and she’s working hard to finish but she can’t score before the clock runs out. They both travel out of bounds a few times while they’re working for a takedown and a scramble sees Campo taking up bottom position for the first time in the match, with De Jesus scoring points for it. Campo inverts to attack a kneebar but De Jesus stays very heavy on top to shut it down, wrapping her arms around her and hugging her in tight. The clock winds down with them stuck in this position.

Reusing shoots in immediately as the match starts and Campo latches on to a guillotine but Reusing escapes comfortably. Campo is working to set up rubber guard with an overhook but it allows Reusing to get tight on a bodylock control. Campo attempts a kimura but Reusing drives her back down. Campo sets up an omoplata but Reusing deals with it and uses the escape to get close on a guard pass.
Campo recovers and briefly attempts a heel hook but she can’t get Reusing far enough off her to get to it. Campo works her way to X-guard and elevates Reusing, wrestling up and almost securing the sweep for a moment. Reusing turtles to deny the points and Campo sinks one hook in, but Reusing escapes to the feet and Campo stands with her.
They start working in the clinch and go off the mats, but Reusing powers through on a double-leg immediately on the reset. Campo wrestles up and Reusing shoots in again, but Campo sprawls and gets the front-headlock. She can’t do anything with it before the match ends though.

The clinch up and Guedes hits a quick takedown that De Jesus comfortably accepts. Guedes drags her back by a foot and dives on a pass but she can’t get far enough, and eventually settles into closed guard. De Jesus opens her guard and Guedes tries to pass from distance, throwing out a flying knee-slice pass too. De Jesus catches a leg and starts attacking it, switching to a deep de la riva hook on the other leg when Guedes defends.
De Jesus tries to use it to wrestle up but bails out to her back again. Guedes switches it up and drops into half-guard, sliding through for the pass and forcing De Jesus to turtle. She tries to take the back but De Jesus escapes to standing and Guedes sends her back to the mat with a footsweep. Guedes is working patiently to pass as the points become available and although it takes a while, De Jesus does manage to get in on the legs.
Guedes has to sit to defend but she deals with the threat and stands back up soon after, getting back to passing again. She tries to quickly throw De Jesus’ legs to the side but she can’t consolidate the position, and a second attempt forces De Jesus to turtle. Guedes takes a front-headlock in a standing position and drops her to the ground to score. De Jesus is working faster off her back and she tries to wrestle up but Guedes holds on to a front-headlock until the match ends.
