Medusa 4 is scheduled for March 25th, 2023 and the promotion has announced an impressive lineup of elite female competitors to compete at the event. The fourth world-leader in female-only BJJ has changed things slightly compared to their previous events, as this will feature one sixteen-woman tournament instead of two eight-woman tournaments. It will be a Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the flyweight division and it’s been several months in the making, with the first competitors being announced at the beginning of 2023.

Medusa 4 is bound to be an exciting and tough tournament, as several women in the lineup are looking like early favourites to take home the title. Fatima Kline won an EBI strawweight tournament at the very first Medusa event and she has an opportunity here to become the Medusa double-champion under two different rulesets. Since that performance she has come along leaps and bounds in her professional MMA career and has now racked up a 4-0 record fighting at Invicta FC.

Kline isn’t the only champion in the bracket though, as the reigning CJJ flyweight champion Bre Stikk is also returning to defend the title she won at Medusa 3. There’s the potential for an interesting grudge match too as the woman she beat in the final of that tournament, Kiaya Jackson, is also returning and she’ll no doubt be determined to win after reaching the final at two consecutive Medusa events. Alex Enriquez also has a great chance of coming away with the title here too, as she has been in incredible form lately with big wins at Fight 2 Win 219 and Finishers 18.

While these four women represent the most likely winners at Medusa 4, there are twelve other top competitors making the trip to Cancun, Mexico and any one of them could easily cause an upset here. In between rounds of the tournament, there will also be two superfights on the card. MMA veteran Taylor Maudlin will be facing 10th Planet competitor Madelynne Wade, and Lily Wayman takes on Marie Perin. Once the dust has settled on Medusa 4, the same team will get everything ready for the welterweight edition of the Combat Jiu-Jitsu world champions the very next day.
