The initial schedule for ADCC 2024 has now been released and the promotion is set to deliver an incredible a ton of entertainment over the course of four days from August 15th to 18th, 2024. The actual main event tournament doesn’t last all four days of course, as that will only take place on the final two days. The first two days are actually going to serve as a build-up for it but they will contain just as much high-level grappling for any of the fans lucky enough to get hold of a ticket before they inevitably sell out.
The first event on August 15th, 2024 will be the huge ADCC Las Vegas Open which will likely attract a number of elite competitors who couldn’t make it to the main event, along with some rising stars of the sport. There will be tons of matches there on the Thursday and as if that wasn’t enough, the following day will see the inaugural ADCC Youth championship taking place. This will feature 192 incredibly talented young grapplers between the ages of 5 and 17, many of whom may even return to the main event in the years to come. Friday night will then be finished off with this year’s ADCC Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the bracket reveal for the main attraction on the final two days.
Although the exact schedule for the Saturday and Sunday hasn’t been announced yet, the most likely scenario is that it follows the same structure as previous ADCC events. This means that the opening round of the men’s weight classes and the quarter-finals of all weight classes would take place on Saturday, setting the stage for the grand finale. The Sunday would then feature the semi-final and final matches for all of the weight classes, before heading straight into the absolute division and finally the main event superfight title-fight between Gordon Ryan and Yuri Simoes.
ADCC announced the early schedule for the four days of ADCC 2024 in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
