Women Who Fight have just announced that they will be hosting their second women’s only BJJ training camp from April 24th to 28th, 2024 and there is a pair of fantastic grapplers serving as instructors. Not only is it a fantastic opportunity for any woman in BJJ to get a ton of training and practice time in with other women, but there’s also going to be world-class instruction too. The camp will be taking place on the beautiful island of Cyprus and there will be a total of 6 no gi training sessions, 3 gi training sessions, and 2 open mat sessions throughout the camp.
The no gi instructor is Rosa Walsh, who is the first and currently only black belt under Ffion Davies. Although Walsh was only promoted to black belt a matter of months ago she’s wasted absolutely no time in establishing herself as one of the top no gi grapplers in Europe. The IBJJF No Gi European Championship was just a few weeks later and she managed to win gold in a very tough middleweight division. She’s a frequent competitor on both the international and UK circuit, and even led Team Ireland to victory over the UK at Enyo Grappling 5.
The gi instructor will be Sula-Mae Lowenthal, another frequent competitor on the UK circuit who has already achieved a high level of success competing globally as a brown belt. She managed to take home a bronze medal from the IBJJF No Gi World Championship just a matter of weeks ago, and is poised to make a big impact in her division. Women Who Fight have also booked a Yoga instructor for their women’s only BJJ training camp in 2024, experienced Yogi and fellow top competitor Gabriella Ripepi.
As the early bird period for tickets to the training camp has just ended, the full price for a standard ticket that includes every training session is £400 and a ticket to the no gi sessions only is £295. We’ve managed to get hold of an exclusive offer for readers of Jits Magazine though, where entering the code ZDZRJ28Q at the point of purchase will give you £25 off a ticket to the camp.
