UFC Welterweight competitor Jordan Williams was almost the victim of a carjacking at a local gas station but he managed to step in and intervene just in the nick of time. Williams has not had the easiest time in his UFC career as he started out with an unsuccessful attempt to gain a contract on an episode of Dana White’s Contender Series, before eventually earning one in his next attempt. From there, Williams only managed one more fight in 2020 and ended up on the losing side of a unanimous decision against Nassourdine Imarov.
He has also fought once since then, stepping into the cage against Mickey Gall just a month ago and falling victim to the rear-naked choke that the young Welterweight has become known for in his UFC career. No matter how much difficulty a fighter encounters during their UFC career, this is a nice reminder that they’re still going to be several dozen leagues ahead of the average person when it comes to fighting. The man that allegedly attempted to steal Williams’ car must’ve had no idea just how much of a bad idea it was to go for this particular car.
He found out the error of his ways very quickly though as Williams immediately started running towards the vehicle one he saw someone get in the driver’s seat. He managed to get there as he was reversing and before he actually left the gas station premises, just in enough time to yank the alleged carjacker out of the vehicle and watch him escape. The CCTV footage of the alleged attempted carjacking incident was uploaded to the official Instagram account of Jordan Williams, clearly showing that the owner of the gas station must have let him view the footage and record it on his phone:
