Mickey Gall managed to improve on his already impressive record at UFC Vegas 32 when he secured the sixth rear-naked choke finish of his professional MMA career and the fifth of his time as a UFC fighter. Gall shot to fame early on in his career when he was selected to be the opponent for WWE athlete CM Punk in his first MMA fight. He earned that opportunity by winning his MMA debut on the regional scene in less than three minutes while Dana White was in attendance, and then defeating Mike Jackson in his UFC debut in less than a minute, both fights ending by rear-naked choke.

After submitting CM Punk in the exact same fashion, Gall’s career had a few ups and downs on his way to this point. He alternated wins and losses in his next six fights, although two of those three wins came through the use of the same submission. At UFC Vegas 32, Mickey Gall was set to face Jordan Williams, a fighter with a 9-4 record who had just recently lost his promotional debut and Gall once again showed how good of a grappler he is when he locked up another choke inside the first three minutes of the fight.
