The upcoming Jiutopia Summer camp is scheduled for June 18th to 24th, 2023 and the organization has managed to book several top competitors as coaches for the week. The event will take place in Halkidiki, Greece and the setting is sure to appeal to the majority of grapplers out there. With beautiful beaches and clear water all around, a week in the area is an amazing experience even without the hours of high-level Jiu-Jitsu instruction that the organization has arranged. This will be the third year that the camp has taken place and past instructors include legends like Romulo Barral and Leo Vieira, along with top current competitors like Felipe Pena and Ffion Davies.
The 2023 edition of the Jiutopia Summer camp is no exception, and the lineup of coaches attending the event is stacked with top talent. Leading the pack is one of the biggest success-stories to come out of ADCC 2022, Eoghan O’Flanagan. He finished fourth at 88kg in his very first attempt at the ADCC world championship, impressing the crowds and establishing that he’s one of the top competitors in his weightclass. He will be joined by several other top competitors from around Europe like Rosa Walsh, Rose El Sharouni, and Tarik Hopstock, the inventor of the tarikoplata.
Top Brazilian lightweight Marcelo Fausto is joining them as a coach for the week, along with the only person to teach at all three editions of the Jiutopia Summer camp; veteran coach Marco Canha. Rounding out the coaching staff at the event is several popular grapplers like Azamat Hamzathanov, Daniel De Groot, Bart Dubbeldam, Chioutakos Konstantinos, Gabriela Fechter, and Gabriella Ripepi. Tickets for the full week start as low as 400 Euros and they all include transportation to and from the event, breakfast in the morning, daily yoga, access to every seminar conducted by the coaches, and access to the open mat for the rest of the day.
