High Rollerz have just announced a crazy main event matchup for their 420 show on April 19th, 2024 and it’s one that absolutely nobody could have predicted. The promotion is known for unusual matchups and fun gimmicks at their events, including a ‘Cops vs Stonerz’ event that they ran just a few years ago. Although there’s a lot of fun to be had at High Rollerz events, the promotion does have an element of serious grappling competition involved as well. In fact, their reigning absolute champion is actually ADCC veteran Andy Varela and he’s put on several fantastic performances on their mats.
They also recently started to arrange wrestling matches alongside their Jiu-Jitsu tournaments and that was a resounding success, so that’s one aspect of their shows that is here to stay for the foreseeable future. They will be on full display at the High Rollerz 420 show in 2024, as the event will feature 6 hours of non-stop action in both wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu matches. While those matches will undoubtedly be serious competition between talented competitors, High Rollerz always keeps a fun vibe from start to finish at each of their events.
That atmosphere will be multiplied tenfold when it comes time for the main event, as it’s going to be a grappling match between two men who are not exactly known for their grappling skill. The first man announced was former NFL player and UFC veteran Greg Hardy, who has recently been experimenting with a number of different combat sports after being released from the world’s biggest MMA promotion. Between boxing and bare-knuckle boxing Hardy has been very busy, but this is his first professional grappling match. He’ll be facing off with one of the most popular stars to emerge from the Power Slap phenomenon, 33 stone Adam Hutchinson.
