Blue Collar FC: American Dream Conference took place on September 1st, 2023 and all of the elite grapplers competing at the event delivered great results for the fans. There were several fun superfights throughout the event, but most of the attention was on the 8-man tournament where some of the best competitors on the planet were battling it out for $25,000. The bracket was a tale of two halves, as the two finalists had dramatically different experiences on their way there. Roberto Jimenez managed to submit both of his opponents to book his place in the final, showing once again that he constantly hunts for the finish no matter who he’s facing.
On the other side of the bracket, Giancarlo Bodoni was defensively sound and stuck to his gameplan for start to finish in order to win his opening round by golden score and his semi-final by decision. He continued that run of form in the final too, as he beat Jimenez by decision to claim the grand prize and take the title back to New Wave Jiu-Jitsu. The superfights were equally fun to watch, particularly an exciting match where Luccas Lira managed to get the decision win over Sean Yadimarco.
