His family is originally from Ecuador but he was born in Miami, Florida and was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu by his father Raul. Jimenez began training at the age of 4 and was a regular competitor throughout his childhood. By the time he reached his late teenage years, Jimenez was beginning to establish himself as one of the top prospects in the sport. After winning multiple IBJJF world championships at different belt levels, Jimenez was promoted to black belt and immediately began competing among the best on the planet. Since then he has become a Polaris champion, an ADCC veteran, and regularly competes at major events.
