Hannah Goldy has just been booked to compete against Amanda Mazza at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5 on December 10th, 2023. Goldy is a veteran fighter who first turned professional back in 2016 and quickly racked up four wins on regional MMA shows before getting the chance to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series. Goldy won that fight and although she wasn’t offered a UFC contract on the show itself, she did make her promotional debut just a few months later anyway. She then went 1-4 in the UFC and was removed from the UFC roster just a few months ago.
Although Goldy might not be competing for the UFC in MMA any more, she’s got another chance to compete for the promotion at their next grappling event. Her opponent, Amanda Mazza, is a BJJ purple belt who has been steadily building up experience competing for professional shows recently. She’s gotten wins on big shows like Fury Pro Grappling 7 and most recently she hit a beautiful flying armbar at Finishers Summer Bash 2. Although she’s not as accomplished as some of the other grapplers on the card just yet, she should still present a very tough challenge for Goldy.
The only other women’s match announced for the event is the rematch between Luiza Monteiro and Elisabeth Clay. The rest of the card is just as stacked too, with a ton of elite competitors battling it out on the mats all leading up to the main and co-main events. First up are Nicholas Meregali and Felipe Pena, followed by the final match between Gordon Ryan and Mason Fowler. UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5 is going to be a fantastic night of elite grappling action, and this match between Hannah Goldy and Amanda Mazza is just going to add to that.
