The Spring edition of the Mallorca BJJ and Yoga Festival is scheduled for April 21st to 26th, 2024 and the lineup of instructors for both disciplines is fantastic. There are several different BJJ training camps in operation and although some of them do offer Yoga classes as well, this is the only that delivers such a high level of instruction for both. The festival will include five or six BJJ seminars and three open mat sessions every single day, along with four or five different Yoga/meditation classes of varying styles as well. There will also be a number of other activities to engage in like breathwork, lectures, and even Wim Hof ice plunge sessions.
A huge benefit to the Mallorca BJJ and Yoga Festival 2024 – Spring Edition is the fact that it’s actually a family-friendly training camp where kids are welcome as well. They will actually have their own version of the camp available as an optional extra for those between the ages of 5 and 12, with several fun activities alongside the BJJ and Yoga classes they can attend. The accommodation is booked in the H10 Blue Mar, a beautiful 4-star hotel right on the beachfront in the picturesque village Camp de Mar that has been exclusively booked out for the training camp. This means that every guest in the hotel will be attending the training camp, and there are a variety of different options for rooms available that start from as little as $841 per person.
Although the sun and sand is obviously a major plus to anyone looking for a break, the main attraction is the lineup of instructors that have been booked. The legendary Mauricio Gomes will be teaching several classes at the camp alongside two of the UK’s most impressive ADCC veterans; Dan Strauss and Ross Nicholls. They aren’t alone either; as popular coaches Jon Thomas, Natalie Day, and the master of the omoplata Clark Gracie are all going to be instructing as well.
Yoga For BJJ’s Sebastian Brosche will be bridging the gap between the two disciplines by teaching both of them at the camp, while the dedicated Yoga instructors are Angela Selivanova, Lilia y Peter, Bruno, Jelena of ‘Kickass Yoga’, Steine Hegre, Helena Rosenthal, and Anne-Christin.
The cost of the training camp also includes both a welcome dinner on the first night and a leaving dinner on the last night, along with breakfast on each day. Dinner on the other nights can be added as an optional extra or attendees can make their own way to any of the fantastic restaurants nearby. One of the biggest attractions in the local area happens to be right nearby; the incredible restaurant Illetas which is situated on a tiny island around 60 metres off from the shore and accessible via a wooden bridge.
