Kade Ruotolo has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming match against Ethan Crelinsten on the next Who’s Number One card after he was reportedly bitten by a dog. This is unfortunate news for fans of high-level grappling as many were excited to see this rematch between one half of ATOS’ pair of elite teenage brothers, and one of the most recent black belt under John Danaher in Crelinsten. The pair met at a previous WNO event and put on a stellar show, giving the judges an incredibly difficult time in deciding who would be declared the winner.
In the end, it was Ruotolo that was given the nod but the match was incredibly close and many fans had thought that Crelinsten was the rightful winner. This rematch would give Ruotolo a chance to put the debate to rest, while also giving Crelinsten the opportunity to show that he’s the better competitor in the end. That’s why many fans were excited at the prospect of getting to see these two run it back as part of a stacked Who’s Number One card on March 26th.
With Kade Ruotolo being forced out as a result of the dog bite, the promotion was unable to secure a replacement in order to keep Crelinsten on the card and they’ve chosen to bump Johnny Tama v Oliver Taza up to the main card instead. With that match moving up, they’ve also arranged a new one between two young competitors for the preliminary card as Brazilian Fight Factory’s Andrew Tackett will take on Sean Yadimarco, a brown belt under John Danaher.
