Recently, Jocko Willink was featured as the subject of discussion on the popular podcast, More Plates More Dates, where the host Derek discussed whether the popular former Navy SEAL and BJJ black belt was using PEDs. It’s a regular topic on the podcast, where Derek will take a look at the alleged diet and training regimen of a certain athlete or popular figure in order to try and assess whether they are ‘Natty or Not’. He’s no stranger to the BJJ community either, as he’s previously looked into the diet of Mikey Musumeci, and the phenomenal muscle-gain that Gordon Ryan achieved over the last few years.
In the video he posted discussing Jocko Willink in particular, the popular YouTuber made several comments that implied that Willink was taking PEDs in order to maintain his phenomenal training schedule on such little sleep:
“He looks like a real huge Alpha male. A real strong human being.”
“According to Dan Bilzerian, PED usage is quite widespread in the SEALS teams.
“Interestingly, there is only one mention from Jocko and is what from a now deleted Tweet:”
“Haven’t tried it.”
Of course, he’s definitely not wrong when he says that Willink is ‘a real strong human being’ as this is something that he’s always been known for. Even among fellow grapplers, Willink is often spoken about as someone who has an incredible amount of physical strength and is excellent at applying it in brutal and demoralizing ways, much like his coach Dean Lister. Jocko Willink then responded to the accusations that he has been taking PEDs in a recent video that was uploaded to his official YouTube channel:
“I’m not on steroids. Maybe we should talk about it a little because it’s not cool.”
“I may have misled Derek on that one.”
