UFC Fight Pass Invitational 4 is scheduled to take place on June 29th, 2023 and the promotion has just released the official lineup for a star-studded absolute tournament. It’s an 8-man tournament with $30,000 on the line for the winner, and this will serve as the main card leading up to a series of excellent superfights at the event. There will be a tough battle between Nicholas Meregali and Roberto ‘Cyborg’ Abreu that will no doubt be drawing a lot of attention at the event, along with a fun match between a pair of UFC veterans in Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira.
Three-time NCAA champion Roman Bravo-Young will also be making his BJJ debut against UFC flyweight contender Alex Perez, and all before the epic main event match. Craig Jones and Felipe Pena are headlining the event in a match that could very easily be the final of an ADCC weight class. These matches alone would normally be enough to pull in a lot of viewers, but the lineup for the absolute tournament at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 4 really seals the deal.
One of the early favorites to win the tournament is two-time ADCC silver medalist Nicky Rodriguez, but he has a lot of tough opposition too. Dan Manasoiu represents one of his biggest challenges but the reigning IBJJF world champion Fellipe Andrew will also be difficult to beat. Rodriguez’s teammate Haisam Rida is another contender in the bracket, as is multiple-time IBJJF world champion Gabriel Arges and submission grappling legend Vagner Rocha. Theose two men are the smallest in the bracket but the biggest underdog is likely Fedor Nikolov, an exciting prospect without as much high-level experience as the opposition..
Vagner Rocha shared the full lineup for the absolute tournament at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 4 on June 29th, 2023 in a post to his official Instagram account:
