Elite teenage grappler Helena Crevar has just signed an exclusive contract with Polaris for any competitive appearances in the UK. This means that she will still be able to compete outside for any other promotion as long as those matches don’t take place in the UK, and it’s a clear sign that she’s going to be making her promotional debut at some point soon. According to the announcement that Polaris have made, this contract will actually last for multiple matches and it will likely mean that she’s going to be a frequent fixture for their cards for the rest of 2024 and potentially beyond.
It makes sense that Polaris would sign Helena Crevar to an exclusive UK contract, as she’s been a talented prospect for several years now and has beaten plenty of adult competitors in superfights for promotions like Fight 2 Win and Pit Submission Series. At the same time she’s also been competing at the appropriate belt level as both a child and juvenile at IBJJF events, where she’s been dominating the opposition. She moved to New Wave Jiu-Jitsu at the end of 2022 and continued her run of success, moving on to tougher opponents at some of the biggest professional grappling promotions in the world.
She won her UFC Fight Pass Invitational debut earlier this year and her Who’s Number One record currently stands at a perfect 2-0. She won her debut there against a fellow colored belt but most recently earned a really impressive win over ADCC Trials winner Julia Maele. This was all building up to the biggest moment of her young career so far, as she was able to win a gold medal at the ADCC North American West Coast Trials earlier this year. Crevar is now poised to hit the highest level of the sport and there will no doubt be a ton of interest surrounding her Polaris debut, particularly if she gets matched up against an elite competitor.
Polaris announced the news that they had managed to sign Helena Crevar to an exclusive UK contract in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
