Dillon Danis Reportedly Slapped By Ali Abdelaziz At UFC 268

In a completely and totally unsurprising turn of events, Dillon Danis was reportedly slapped by Ali Abdelaziz backstage at UFC 268 and was then escorted out of the building as a result of the altercation. This wouldn’t be the first time that Danis was involved in a physical confrontation at a UFC event either, as he was famously part of the brawl that broke out shortly after the fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor. Similarly, he was actually on the receiving end of the first strike in that incident as well but he undoubtedly played a role in stoking the fires that caused it.

The news was first reported by one of MMAJunkie’s most popular reporters, John Morgan, in a post to his official Twitter account:

Ali Abdelaziz slapped Dillon Danis backstage tonight at #UFC268 according to multiple people who witnessed the incident. Danis was then apparently removed from the building.

Reached out to @AliAbdelaziz00, but he declined to comment.

This is just the latest in a long line of things that has either happened to or because of Dillon Danis and Ali Abdelaziz is not even close to being the first person to lay hands on him, and probably won’t be the last either after their altercation at UFC 268. In fact, Abdelaziz isn’t even the first person to clash with Danis this week as he recently went back and forth with Mike Bisping on social media too. According to a tweet by Bisping that has since been deleted, Danis has also been banned from all future UFC events; although this has not yet been corroborated by UFC brass:

Dillon Danis is of course a regular feature in the news for all the wrong reasons but this is the first time that someone outside professional fighters, a manager like Ali Abdelaziz has done slapped him. Most recently, footage of Danis being restrained by a bouncer and arrested outside a New Jersey nightclub went viral. While many fans in the grappling and MMA community quickly condemned him for his actions, he has since come out and explained the events behind his arrest and provided he’s telling the truth, he may actually be the sympathetic party in that incident.

As of yet, there’s no supporting information surfacing about the altercation between Dillon Danis and Ali Abdelaziz, but we’ll be following the story closely as it develops.
