The AIGA Champions League USA Qualifier 2024 is going to take place on October 19th and 20th, 2024 and the lineups for each of the elite teams competing have just been announced. This will be the third of four qualifying rounds for the promotion’s epic team grappling tournament, and it looks like it might be the toughest one yet. Although there were plenty of talented grapplers competing in the first two qualifying rounds, they both ended up in dominant performances from the winners. Euro Trash won the European qualifier with just two losses and most recently fans got to see a clean-sweep of 21 straight wins and no losses when Team Kasai won the Brazilian qualifier.
It’s incredibly unlikely that anyone is able to replicate those successes in the USA qualifier, as the teams are far more evenly-matched. Major competition teams like 10th Planet, Checkmat, and Fight Sports have all put forward teams with some of the best grapplers in the world. That isn’t all though, as smaller teams like Vanguard and Legion Jiu-Jitsu have also managed to gather together fantastic rosters. Rounding out the tournament lineup is a team representing Finishers Sub-Only, as the promotion has secured the services of some of the top competitors to ever set foot on their mats. With ADCC veterans in almost every single team, it’s impossible to predict who will come away with the win with any certainty.
