SOGI Pro: Winter Warz is booked for March 11th, 2023 and the promotion has just confirmed an excellent lineup for the event. The main event match will see the promotion’s heavyweight championship on the line as the young Pat Shahgholi takes on a veteran competitor in Alex Nemeth. This is sure to be a tough matchup for both men and although Nemeth definitely has the edge in experience, Shahgholi has been doing a fantastic job lately of beating men who’ve been competing at that level much longer than him. In fact he’s managed to win one title-fight already this year, defeating Steve Joachim by decision in the main event of Finishers 18.
Shortly before that, the co-main event will be an excellent matchup between ADCC veteran Keith Krikorian and the reigning SOGI absolute champion Andrew Solano. This may very well end up being the most exciting match of the night, as Krikorian is one of the top competitors in the lighter weightclasses of the no gi grappling circuit. He’s a fast-paced and relentless grapplers, so a match with SOGI fan-favourite Solano is sure to produce some fireworks. There’s also a number of prelim matches earlier in the night alongside a featured bout between UFC veteran TJ Laramie and Dylan Garofalo.
Outside of the lineup of single matches booked for SOGI Pro: Winter Warz on March 11th, 2023, there’s also an excellent middleweight tournament as well. One of the favourites to win the event is Sean Yadimarco, who’s fresh off a big title-defence at Finishers Kombat 4. Another competitor who has a good chance of coming away with the title is Quentin Rosenzweig, as he’s a very highly-respected no gi grappler with a ton of experience. The other athletes who have been invited to compete in the tournament are Felipe Cesar Silva, Nick Domgjoni, Enrique Galarza, Shawn Melanson, Chris Wojcik, and Luis Cabrera.
