Quintet 4 has been scheduled for September 10th, 2023 and the promotion has just announced the full lineup for all four teams that are competing at the event. It’s the first event that Quintet have staged in over two years and they’ve managed to attract four fantastic teams, each one being stacked with top grapplers from all around the world. Kazushi Sakuraba is the man behind Quintet and he’s put together one of the teams himself, including putting himself in as one of the competitors. The most notable athlete competing alongside him is top B-Team Jiu-Jitsu competitor and ADCC 2022 veteran Haisam Rida, and there’s still one spot left on his team.

One of the teams competing at Quintet 4 has actually been sent by another promotion, Polaris, and they’ve put together a lineup stacked with ADCC veterans. Eoghan O’Flanagan had a breakthrough performance at ADCC 2022 and finished 4th in a tough 88kg division, while Mateusz Szczecinski went 1-1 at 66kg and Owen Livesey went out in the opening round at 99kg. The final two teams of the tournament have been put together by actual competition teams, as they will be representing 10th Planet and New Wave Jiu-Jitsu.

10th Planet have managed to bring together all of their top competitors into the same team, including Richie Martinez and another three experienced ADCC competitors. His brother Geo Martinez will also be competing at Quintet 4 and they will be joined by Kyle Boehm and one of the standouts from the 77kg division at ADCC 2022, PJ Barch. The final team representing New Wave Jiu-Jitsu under John Danaher are missing some of their top competitors, although former B-Team competitor Izaak Michell and the reigning 88kg ADCC world champion Giancarlo Bodoni will be there to drive the team to success.
