Fight 2 Win have just announced that one of their first events of 2021, F2W 162, will actually be an all-female event for the first time in the promotion’s history. This is a fantastic step forward for women in Jiu-Jitsu, although Fight 2 Win won’t actually be the first promotion to host an all-female event as Submission Hunter Pro actually did that for their 60th event this year. After the success of that event, it seems as though Fight 2 Win have decided to take a leaf out of their book and throw everything they have behind an all-female event.

Fight 2 Win 162 will take place on January 29th and although there hasn’t been a full lineup announced as yet, the main event can be revealed. The promotion has arranged for Amanda “Tubby” Alequin to take on the current F2W Banamweight Champion, Nathalie Ribeiro. Alequin was most recently seen on the F2W stage at their 153rd event where she took on Patricia Fontes and came away with submission of the night honors for a slick head and arm choke finish.

Ribeiro on the other hand, most recently managed to come away from the IBJJF no gi Pan-Ams with a gold medal in the Lightweight division after a phenomenal performance. Both Alequin and Ribeiro also frequently compete in the gi as well and were both at the IBJJF Pan-Ams earlier this year, where they each earned a silver medal in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions respectively.
