Main Character Jiu-Jitsu 2 is scheduled for November 12th, 2023 and the promotion has put together a fantastic lineup for a middleweight tournament and a main event title-fight. There are quite a few superfights booked as well, but the main event is an excellent matchup between Jasmine Rocha and Sophia Cassella. They will be competing for the promotion’s 125lbs title, shortly before the winner of the men’s 185lbs tournament is crowned as well. Rocha isn’t the only member of her family competing either though, as her brother Achilles Rocha has entered the tournament and will be one to watch as the bracket unfolds.
He will have some very tough matches waiting for him though, particularly with the two favorites to win the bracket: ADCC veterans PJ Barch and Oliver Taza. It doesn’t get any easier from there either, as the lineup for Main Character Jiu-Jitsu 2 is stacked with top talent. Hunter Colvin and Ryan Aitken are both talented grapplers who’ve registered some big wins over the years and it isn’t impossible to imagine them coming away with the win here instead. There’s the potential for some interesting matches too, with B-Team Jiu-Jitsu coach JB Bechtloff competing alongside one of New Wave Jiu-Jitsu‘s exciting young prospects, Davis Asare.
Felipe Cesar and Marcelo Fausto will both be tough to beat, while Fedor Nikolov and Chris Wojcik have had some impressive performances lately that might be a sign of good things to come. Nathan Haddad, Caleb Crump, Kade Anastasios, and Jonathan Wilson have all been announced for the tournament too and any of these men might be able to spring a surprise on the more established competitors. The final man to book his place at Main Character Jiu-Jitsu 2 was Michael Esquivel, who won a contenders tournament against tough opposition in order to earn his spot.
