The ADCC Mexico City Open 2023 took place on September 16th, 2023 and some of the country’s top competitors competed in the event. The promotion has been doing some great work to generate more opportunities for grapplers in Mexico, as this isn’t even the first ADCC Open that they’ve staged in the country. In fact, ADCC set out to stage 3 different Opens in Mexico at the beginning of the year and so far everything has been going on track. They made that announcement after the resounding success of the first ADCC Mexico Open back in March.

The ADCC Tijuana Open 2023 took place earlier this year and that event delivered just as much action as their first venture into the country, and now Mexico City has come to an end as well. There was plenty of action in every division, although naturally most of the attention was on the advanced divisions where the most skilled competitors fought for hard-earned podium positions. Now there is only one more ADCC Open scheduled to take place in Mexico this year, with the Monterrey event taking place on December 2nd, 2023. It’ll be interesting to see how this effects the outcome of the ADCC Trials, and if any Mexican competitors are able to qualify for ADCC 2024.
