Enigma Jiu-Jitsu has just released the full lineup for their team of 5 talented grapplers that are set to compete in an upcoming cross-promotional Quintet event on January 27th, 2024. It’s a fantastic team grappling event that has been set up thanks to four big grappling promotions from around the United States all working together. Each of the four promotions are signing up 5 athletes who have competed for their promotion at some point in that past, and the winning team will take home a grand prize of $15,000.
The team lineups for Sapateiro, Midwest Finishers, and Finishers Sub-Only are still being announced by the individual promotions, but Enigma Jiu-Jitsu have finished revealing their full lineup now. The first athlete announced for the team was Deandre Corbe and although he might be one of the lightest grapplers in the tournament, he’s already established himself as an elite competitor. He was quickly joined by veteran competitor Hunter Colvin, an ADCC Trials medalist who has managed to rack up some big wins over the last few years appearing for several different major promotions around the world.
There will also be two of the top colored belt competitors from New Wave Jiu-Jitsu joining the Enigma lineup as well, with both Reese LaFever and Abraham La Montagne confirmed. Although they haven’t broken through to the highest level of competition just yet, they’ve both beaten great opponents and will be ones to watch at the event. The final grappler rounding out the Enigma team is Kaya Rudolph, another man who’s stood on the podium of an ADCC Trials event. Each of the men representing Enigma at the event are incredibly talented and collectively they make up a team with a great chance of taking home the title.
