The ADCC Natal Open 2023 took place on October 8th, 2023 and several fantastic competitors made the trip to Brazil in order to compete. This was the second ADCC Open to take place in Brazil this year and the success of the Sao Paulo event was a good sign that there would be plenty of action when the promotion stopped off in Natal. In the end there was more than a few exciting matches and brilliant finishes throughout the event, but two grapplers in particular were able to walk away with the biggest prizes of the day.

Nikolas Souza in particular stood out as he submitted all four of his opponents in the under 76kg division, and the last two lasted less than 30 seconds each on the mat with him. He later entered the absolute division as one of the smallest competitors in it, and managed to win his second gold medal of the day from there. Although there was no other women in the under 65kg division for Aurelie Le Vern to compete against, she put in a great performance in the absolute division to take home a gold medal there. Le Vern submitted all three of the women who stood in her way and it took her just a little over 8 minutes in total to beat all of them.
