The USA Grappling World Team Trials 2024 took place on June 22nd, 2024 and several elite competitors earned the right to represent their country. A total of 21 different men and women are now going to be making the trip to Astana, Kazakhstan at the end of the year to compete in the UWW Grappling World Championships 2024. There were several notable names among the winners, including veteran Bre Stikk who was one of just two people to win both the gi and no gi divisions. She will now be representing USA once again in the under 53kg weight class of both disciplines.

There were a few other big names in the women’s divisions, as Alex Enriquez and Sheliah Lindsey won the under 58kg and under 64kg no gi division respectively. Perhaps the most well-known competitor was in the under 90kg division though, as Kendall Reusing won gold there. Fellow ADCC veteran John Hansen won the under 130kg division in the gi, but he couldn’t replicate that success in the no gi division and he lost out to Breylor Grout in the final. Eliot Kelly and David Garmo were other big names who won gold medals in the under 100kg and under 91kg divisions, while rising star Noah Chen won the under 84kg division.
