Experienced BJJ competitor Amanda Leve just earned a PFL contract after an impressive win on the most recent edition of PFL Challenger Series on February 3rd, 2023. This was only the second fight of Leve’s professional MMA career, and her opponent Naranjargal Tsendayush was coming into it with a 2-0 record. It was a difficult task for Leve to take on so early on in her career, but she’s already risen to tough challenges in the past and overcome them in impressive fashion.
Leve won an ADCC Trials event back in 2019, submitting phenomenal grapplers like Elisabeth Clay and Maggie Grindatti and earning herself a place at ADCC 2019 in the process. Although she had fought in a few amateur bouts, she didn’t embark upon her professional MMA career until well after her ADCC appearance. Leve made her professional debut in 2021 against Miranda Barber, submitting her with a rear-naked choke in the very first round.
Shortly after that, Leve earned one of the biggest wins of her career when she defeated Gabi Garcia at the Who’s Number One Championships. Early in 2022, Leve was then invited to challenge Kendall Reusing for the Polaris openweight title at Polaris 19. Unfortunately she lost the match as a result of an injury suffered during it, which may have taken her out of training for a little while. Amanda Leve got her career back on track at the PFL Challenger Series though, winning a tough decision over Naranjargal Tsendayush and being awarded a contract to compete in the promotion’s 2023 season as a result.
The news that Amanda Leve earned a PFL contract by defeating Naranjargal Tsendayush at PFL Challenger Series on February 3rd, 2023 was announced in a post to the promotion’s official Instagram account:
