The ADCC Orlando Open 2024 took place on July 6th, 2024 and there was plenty of elite competitors standing on top of the podium by the end of the day. Estevan Martinez stood out in the smallest men’s division at under 60kg by leaving with a gold medal in a tough bracket, but the other big names were competing in the heavier weight classes. The under 91kg division was won by Luccas Lira but the champions from the only two heavier weight classes were particularly impressive, as they also managed to reach the final of the absolute division.
ADCC veterans Elder Cruz and Roosevelt Sousa won the under and over 100kg divisions respectively, and they were placed on opposite sides of the absolute bracket later on in the day. It was the smaller Cruz who won that match though, and he finished the day as the double champion. There weren’t many big names in the women’s divisions, but ADCC Trials winner Alex Enriquez did win the under 60kg division in impressive fashion. The under 65kg division was won by Leilani Bernales and she attempted to win the absolute division as well, but she had to settle for a silver medal behind Jennifer Case in the end.
