Who’s Number One 19: Nicholas Meregali v Kaynan Duarte took place on August 10th, 2023 and the results feature elite grapplers in every single matchup. The card was stacked from top to bottom with exciting matches and two of the promotion’s titles were on the line shortly before the main event took place. Undoubtedly most of the attention was on the grudge match between Meregali and Duarte, where Meregali managed to move ahead in the series between them in dominant fashion. He secured an arm-triangle choke from top position and forced Duarte to tap, moving his personal record against him to 3-2.

Just before that, Ffion Davies put her flyweight title on the line against Jasmine Rocha and although Rocha showed some great guard retention, it wasn’t enough to stop the relentless passing that Davies employed. She won the match by unanimous decision and retained the belt. The second belt up for grabs at the event was in the men’s lightweight division, as Dante Leon and Ethan Crelinsten battled it out for the vacant belt. It was a fast-paced match right from the start and both men were working at an incredible pace, with Leon going on the attack early. A beautiful counter to an inversion saw Leon take Crelinsten’s back, before submitting him to win the title.
