Nate Diaz has solid boxing and some of the best Jiu-Jitsu skills around, but he will always be more well-known for his phenomenal trash talk. Much like his Jiu-Jitsu and boxing skills, that actually runs in the family as well as his brother Nick has had just as many great moments on the mic throughout his career. Not just on the mic of course, who can forget the moment that Nick led down in the octagon and pulled a calendar-pose while he was right in the middle of the biggest fight of his career against Anderson Silva?
It’s these epic moments that have led to many fans craving for the UFC return of both Nick and Nate Diaz, two brothers who have been fan-favorites since the earliest days of their respective careers. Of course, they don’t have to wait long at all before seeing Nate step back into the octagon as he’s currently booked to make history in a fight with Leon Edwards at UFC 263. The pair’s Welterweight matchup will become the first ever non-title and non-main event five-round fight in UFC history, something that could become more common as time goes on.
The fight was originally supposed to take place at UFC 262, but was eventually postponed for around a month due to a minor injury Diaz suffered in training. He’s made good use of the extra time however as he’s been in the news for one reason or another several times, no doubt building quite a bit of hype for the fight. He’s been seen taking on gigantic 300lb weightlifters in friendly grappling matches on YouTube, and even putting on demonstrations with popular YouTube personalities, choking out Salim the Dream just recently.
