Nate Diaz recently got into an altercation in the street with an as yet unidentified man, but it didn’t last long before he secured the choke and put his opponent out. His success in the streetfight shouldn’t come as much of a surprise really, as Diaz is a UFC veteran who has been fighting grown men since he was just 17 years old. Fighting has pretty much been the Diaz brothers’ entire life up until now, and both Nate and Nick are still involved in combat sports in a huge way. In fact, Nate is still taking on new challenges and he actually has a boxing match with Logan Paul lined up on the horizon.
Diaz is far from your average MMA fighter too, he’s actually a third degree BJJ black belt who has submitted some truly incredible fighters throughout his career. Veteran fighters like Jim Miller, Takanori Gomi, Conor McGregor, and Tony Ferguson have all fallen victim to Diaz’s lethal submissions over the years. While it’d be safe to assume that any professional fighter would comfortably handle an altercation in the street, Diaz is no stranger to brawls either. Not only does he have years of experience in sanctioned fights against another man, he also has much more experience in wild and chaotic streetfights than most men ever get too.
While it was his trash talk out of the cage that made Nate Diaz famous, he’s also been known to put on some fantastic performances too and this is far from the first time that he’s been able to lock up a choke and put someone to sleep. In fact, he’s so beloved by the fans in his native city of Stockton in California that he was recently given a key to the city by the mayor. While something like a public brawl and putting someone to sleep in the street might hurt the image of many professional athletes, for Nate Diaz it’s basically just another day in the office.
