Finishers: Saturday Night Main Event will take place on April 27th, 2024 and Finishers Sub Only have secured a brilliant lineup that will be headlined by three title-fights. The rest of the matches that will take place at the event have not yet been confirmed, but the promotion regularly manages to attract a mixture of top veterans and talented prospects to compete. There will be no undercard this time around though, so there will only be a limited number of matches of the highest standard instead.
Two of the title-fights will take place in women’s divisions, as both the under 115lbs and the under 125lbs belts will be up for grabs. The final match will also take place in the 125lbs division, although it will be the men’s title that is being put on the line instead. The reigning champion there is Eric Naples and he has already defended his title before, putting his fantastic leglocking skills on full display against skilled grapplers. He’ll be attempting to rack up another title-defense when he takes on Mustafa Sadiq, one of the top brown belts competing on the IBJJF circuit who won bronze at both the IBJJF No Gi Pan Championship and the IBJJF No Gi World Championship last year.
The reigning women’s under 125lbs champion is Sophia Cassella and she’s been making a big impact under various different no gi rulesets recently. Her challenger is going to be Cindy Ung and this will be the second time they’ve met on the mats this year, after Cassella won their first match by decision at Grapple in the Temple 5. The women’s under 115lbs champion is currently Alex Nguyen and she will be challenged by Sandy Chheng, a professional MMA fighter who will be looking to make an impact in the professional grappling world by taking the title from Nguyen.
