The 2023 Whoopass camp is scheduled for May 22nd to 26th and the organization has put together a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business. Their headliner instructor is Mateusz Szczecinski, one of the most talented and respected grapplers in Europe and an ADCC veteran who put in a fantastic performance at ADCC 2022.
The unique camp is designed for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced-level grappler. Each day of the camp carries a theme to help you get the most out of your experience. The week of high-level instruction will have the following schedule:
Monday – Offence with Charles Harriot and Alexander Neufang
Tuesday – Wrestling up with Naqi Arshad and Chris Paines
Wednesday – Counters with Tom Maenurm and Dennis Schindler
Thursday – Szczecinski Savagery with Mateusz Szczecinski
Friday – Defence with Priit Mihkelson and Wim Deputter.
This breakdown allows you to focus on a different aspect of your game on each day in order to develop them fully and become a more well-rounded grappler. The Whoopass camp takes place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from May 22 to 26, 2023, and offers two 2-hour seminars each day, along with over two hours of open mat time. This gives you plenty of opportunities to learn and practice new skills along with enough free time in the evenings to explore the city and all its attractions.
Camp Passes are available for 399 euros for full access, while day passes are available for 99 euros. If you buy your ticket before the end of March, then using the code WHOOPA10 to get a 10% discount. If you’re coming with a group of 5+ people, then the organization has offered the code WHOOPASS-TEAM to support teams so that you to get a 50 euro discount on each pass.

Tickets are limited of course, and the spots are filling up fast. This promises to be one of the most unforgettable Jiu-Jitsu experiences in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. We spoke to the organizers to get their comments on the camp, and they had this to say:
“We’ve put extra effort in making all the seminars fit together, so people can learn more efficiently. Nobody likes the feeling at the end of a camp, when you’re brain-fried and barely remember anything. We’re also filming all the classes so the visitors can revisit the techniques even after the camp!”
To give you a taste of what the 2023 Whoopass camp will be like; below is a two-part seminar from the previous camp where Dennis Schindler goes through the fundamentals of wrestling up and leg entanglements, along with the advanced approach to combining the two.
