Nicky Rodriguez is one of the top no gi grapplers of his generation in the heaviest divisions of BJJ competition. He found his introduction to grappling at the age of 12 when he took up wrestling in school and ended up competing at a Division III level in college. After a year of this, Rodriguez decided to transition to Jiu-Jitsu competition instead and almost immediately made a huge impact. After just a few months of BJJ training, Rodriguez managed to reach the podium of ADCC trials. Since then, he has established himself as a top competitor and has stood on the podium of the ADCC world championships representing first the Danaher Death Squad, and then B-Team Jiu-Jitsu.
