Cage Fury BJJ 14 is scheduled for July 25th, 2025 and the promotion is pulling out all the stops for the lineup of their first event since rebranding from Fury Pro Grappling. Two of the promotion’s titles are on the line in the final two matches of the night, but there’s going to be plenty of highlights before then too. There’s some serious talent in the heavier weight classes, as ADCC veterans Elder Cruz and Daishi Goto will be taking on Steve Joachim and Jarbem Pacheco respectively. Another great match between two heavier competitors goes down earlier in the night too, as Andrew Kochel will face Sergio Vilas.
10th Planet legend Zach Maslany also returns for the promotion against Evan Chmieleski, and talented brown belt Taylor Clarke faces a very tough test from Cathryn Discianni. There’s plenty more to look forward to before the title-fights begin, and the first one to be announced was for the vacant light-heavyweight belt. Veteran wrestler Pat Downey is continuing his Jiu-Jitsu career in style with a shot at gold here, and the man standing in his way is Luke Fernandez. Not only is Fernandez an undefeated MMA fighter but he’s also put on several impressive performances in grappling matches while building up that 5-0 professional record.
Then the second title-fight to be announced for the Cage Fury 14 lineup features their reigning bantamweight champion Edwin ‘Junny’ Ocasio. This will be his first title-defense after winning the inaugural title fairly recently, as he competed at their last event and submitted Kevin Dantzler for the belt. He also faces an MMA veteran in his match; although his opponent, Joey Diehl, has been focusing more on grappling since his last fight in 2019. He’s a game opponent who will undoubtedly throw everything he has at Ocasio, but Ocasio truly is one of the best men in the world in this weight class.
