Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne have just revealed some rather exciting news, the former UFC Bantamweight World Champion is now going through her first pregnancy! Rousey has been out of the combat sports world for quite some time now after retiring from the UFC back in 2016. At that time she was coming off her second consecutive knockout loss, her first came when losing her title to Holly Holm in 2015 and the second in trying to reclaim that title against the current reigning Bantamweight and Featherweight World Champion Amanda Nunes.
Since her retirement, Rousey hasn’t drifted into obscurity at all. Far from it in fact, she has maintained an incredibly high profile by transitioning over to the WWE instead and being featured in a number of storylines for the world’s premier professional wrestling organisation. Her husband Travis Browne underwent similar troubles in his MMA career around the same time, although he continued to fight a little longer than Rousey. He ended up on the receiving end of a four-fight losing streak by 2017 and although he never officially retired, he has not fought since or expressed any desire to do so.
Rousey gave the following statement to MMA Fighting: “Pow! Four months pregnant, you didn’t even know. Last four months. I’ve been pregnant since January, so four months, woo, baby bump. I can’t hide it anymore, so it’s time to show it off.”
The news of her pregnancy was announced by the couple on the official YouTube Channel for Ronda Rousey:
