Rodolfo Vieira has just booked his next MMA fight, as he will now be taking on Tresean Gore in a middleweight bout at UFC Vegas 108 on August 2nd, 2025. It’s certainly going to be a tough fight, as Gore is a pretty well-rounded fighter who already has plenty of experience at the highest level. Gore only had 3 professional MMA fights before making it to the UFC, and he earned that opportunity by making it to the final of season 29 of The Ultimate Fighter. He was injured during that season and unfortunately couldn’t make it to the final, but he still earned a contract after his pair of wins on the show.
Gore has had mixed results since then and he currently holds a 2-3 UFC record, making him 5-3 in professional MMA overall. Most recently he was knocked out by Marco Tulio at UFC 314, and winning this fight with Vieira is vital to the continuation of his promotional career. Vieira might have more experience and more success at this level than Gore does, but he also finds himself in a tough situation right now. Vieira is also coming into this fight off a loss after Andre Petroski beat him by unanimous decision back at UFC Vegas 102, and he will also be eager to get back in the win column.
Vieira will obviously have the advantage in grappling as an ADCC and IBJJF World Championship gold medalist, but he hasn’t always been able to turn that into victories. Other fighters have been able to keep up with him on the ground and in fact, Vieira was even submitted himself in one of his early UFC fights. Whether Gore is able to do the same remains to be seen of course, and Vieira is changing things up for this fight as well. For the first time in his career, he will be representing The Fighting Nerds and will be conducting his entire training camp there as well.
