Polaris 24 took place on June 3rd, 2023 and the promotion put together an amazing card that delivered high level grappling in the results from start to finish. There were two titles on the line at the event, with ADCC veterans featuring throughout the card too. Although the promotion originally managed to book UFC and ADCC veteran Ryan Hall to challenge their triple-champion Ashley Williams for his lightweight title, that match fell through at the last minute. That title was vacated as a result of them being unable to compete, and it was made available for the winner of a tough battle between Ethan Crelinsten and Nathan Orchard instead.

Both men put everything they had into the match but Crelinsten’s passing and top-game was absolutely flawless from start to finish. He put on an absolute masterclass in the co-main event and although he wasn’t able to get the submission win against Orchard, he earned a convincing decision. This sets up a superb rematch with Ashley Williams, as he will no doubt be eager to win back the title he never lost. The final match of the night was another title-fight, with Matesz Szczecinski challenging Polaris fan-favourite Jed Hue for the welterweight title. Szczecinski got his trademark straight ankle-lock attacks going and caused an audible break while Hue was defending, forcing him to tap and limp off the mats while Szczecinski took home the title.
