Polaris 17 delivered some great results with a stacked card, headlined by Craig Jones defending his middleweight title against UFC veteran Davi Ramos. This marked the first time in quite a while that the promotion had put on an event solely consisting of single matches with their last three events all being contested under their exciting team grappling rules, Polaris Squads. As always with the UK-based promotion, they managed to put together a lineup featuring some of the best grapplers on the planet even before the main-event match took place.
Jones retained the title in a relatively uneventful match where he was never really troubled by Ramos, and the co-main event featured another title matchup between Kendall Reusing and Venla Luukkonen. Reusing was the favorite going into the match but she impressed regardless by locking up an armbar against the Finland-native. Elsewhere on the card, Polaris fan-favorite Jed Hue was part of an incredibly exciting match where he edged out a decision victory against Combat Jiu Jitsu welterweight world champion Kody Steele, and Mateusz Szczecinski locked up a beautiful heelhook finish against Ellis Younger.
