Pedigo Submission Fighting are coming to the biggest show of 2025, as the Daisy Fresh boys have just been announced as the final team for the CJI 2 tournament lineup. Their presence at the tournament is a huge boost to the event and they’ve already announced a roster that includes their very best competitors. Heath Pedigo is known as an incredible coach and he’s managed to bring up multiple elite grapplers over the years, with several of them winning ADCC Trials and even having great runs at ADCC itself. Craig Jones revealed them as the final team competing at CJI 2 and he also listed off all five of their representatives, with the weight classes being pretty obvious based on individual records.

Their most successful competitor is Dante Leon and although he has competed in several different divisions, his optimal weight class has always been under 77kg. He is able to beat significantly bigger opponents pretty regularly though, and will be a real threat in this format. Max Hanson was also announced but he normally inhabits the same weight class as Leon, and they both actually competed at under 77kg at ADCC 2024. Hanson has gone as low as 70kg in the past though, so it seems like he might be planning to undergo a tougher weight-cut than normal in order to be the under 66kg representative.

Jacob Couch is the next heaviest competitor and his weight class is also pretty obvious, as he’s historically competed at around 88kg and it’s pretty unlikely that he could make it down much further than that. The final two men representing Pedigo Submission Fighting are the heavyweights, and they also made an appearance at ADCC last year. Michael Pixley competed at under 99kg and not only did he manage to finish fourth in an incredibly tough division, but he registered the biggest upset of the tournament by submitting Nicholas Meregali. Then at over 99kg, Brandon Reed completes the lineup and provides another tough opponent for any of the teams that PSF might face during their run.

Craig Jones revealed that Pedigo Submission Fighting would be the final team involved in CJI 2 during a recent episode of On Borrowed Time, which is available to watch on the official B-Team Jiu-Jitsu YouTube channel:
