This article is part of our ADCC 2022 coverage. To get live results, play by play, and commentary, we’ll have a live updates article running all weekend.

Asian-based MMA promotion ONE Championship has just become the latest organization to become an official sponsor of the 2022 ADCC world championships. The organization joins the Joe Rogan Experience as the biggest sponsors of the event, although the list of sponsors doesn’t end there. There are a number of businesses that have already pledged their support to the event like Very Hard To Submit New York, Kicksite, Kingz, and Wilner & O’Reilly Immigration lawyers. At the time of writing, there are still plenty of opportunities for sponsorship left for the event and there will no doubt be many more announced in the coming weeks and months.

The reigning ADCC double champion Gordon Ryan also weighed in on the good news: “So amazing to see such a huge organization supporting our Olympics. Thank you [Chatri Sityodtong and ONE Championship]”

Sityodtong quickly responded and actually clued fans in on how the idea of sponsorship actually originally came about too: “It was your brilliant idea, Gordon! So thank you bro!”

ADCC head organizer Mo Jassim also spoke about the good news and reiterated some of his previous statements about how the 2022 edition of the ADCC world championships will be the biggest event in the history of the sport: “People don’t realize how big this can be. Our sport has never been at this close to breaking out main stream, exciting times.”

Qualification for ADCC 2022 is nearly coming to an end as there are only a handful of invites left for organizers to announce and only two more trials events set to take place. Already, this edition is set to be the biggest in ADCC history and will almost certainly be the most exciting grappling event that BJJ fans have ever seen. ADCC 2022 will take place on September 17th and 18th, featuring some of the best talent in the world fighting for a chance to be crowned an ADCC world champion.

The news of ONE Championship joining as the latest sponsor of the 2022 ADCC world championships was announced in a post to the official Instagram account of ADCC:
