Fight 2 Win 167 was yet another night of high-level action courtesy of one of the most successful grappling promotions in North America. The event featured an unusually high number of black belt matches, with elite competitors like Pedro Marinho and Thiago Macedo unable to break into even the co-main event slot. One of the best up-and-coming grapplers available right now, Haisam Rida put on a solid performance in the earlier portion of the black belt main card, defeating Nonso Ebede by Decision. The brown belt main event saw a big win by Andrew Tackett, where he locked up a Triangle Armbar and earned submission of the night honors against Matt Cox.

The co-main event then saw Gabriel Sousa defeat Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho in a very close match that was ruled to be a split decision in the end. The pair went back-and-forth with both men employing their guard to great effect, but it was Sousa who had the greater number of footlock attempts that ended up earning him the win. Victor Hugo and Tim Spriggs met in the main event, producing a fast-paced and exciting match with both men having to escape deep submission attempts. With about a minute left on the clock, Hugo managed to lock up a tight heelhook that proved too far gone for Spriggs to escape and he secured the tap.
