The IBJJF have just confirmed the full brackets for all six divisions of The Crown, their brand new event scheduled for November 19th, 2023. The event promises to be a truly fantastic night of grappling, with a ton of matches between elite competitors and six champions crowned once the dust has settled. The lineup in the men’s featherweight division is one of the most impressive of the whole event, with all four of the competitors having won an IBJJF World Championship at one point. The lineup in the men’s heavyweight division is just as exciting too, as it’s stacked with some of the best grapplers in the division right now.
The lineup in the middleweight division represents an opportunity for Tainan Dalpra to reclaim his spot at the top of the weight class, even though his rival Jansen Gomes is not competing. The last men’s division features some of the best ultra-heavyweight grapplers on the planet, even if there is a pretty notable absence in the lineup. There are also two women’s divisions scheduled for The Crown as well, with some of the best lightweights in IBJJF competition being brought together in one of the brackets. Alongside them, the promotion has also looked at the opposite end of the scale and has managed to arrange a fantastic super-heavyweight division that includes the undisputed top competitor at that weight.
