The IBJJF No Gi Pan Championship 2025 took place from October 3rd to 5th, 2025 and the results featured some of the best grapplers from all around the world. Roosevelt Sousa and Gabrieli Pessanha both emerged with a pair of gold medals, as they won the absolute and the heaviest weight class for men and women respectively. Most of the other competitors on the men’s absolute podium were champions too, with bronze medalists Pawel Jaworski and Elder Cruz winning gold at medium-heavyweight and super-heavyweight. In between those two weight classes it was Javier Barter taking home the title, while Marcelo Fausto stood on top of the middleweight podium.
There was a bit of an upset just below that, as Julian Espinosa won one of the toughest brackets of the whole event at lightweight. Light-featherweight featured an even bigger surprise, as Vinicius Inacio beat one of the biggest favorites of the whole event during his run to gold. The final men’s champions were at featherweight and roosterweight, where Marco Mendes and Osamah Almarwai came out on top. There weren’t as many surprises in the women’s divisions but some people likely would have been surprised to see Ana Mayordomo have such an impressive run through the featherweight division that included two submission wins over top opponents.
Caroline Brunacio was also a somewhat surprising winner at lightweight considering how stacked that bracket was. Elsewhere the chanpions were a little more predictable, starting with Mariana Rolszt winning at roosterweight and Mayssa Bastos dominating the light-featherweight division. Salla Simola was one of several top European competitors to show out and she won the medium-heavyweight division, while Anabel Lopez was a similar success story from the continent at heavyweight. The final champion in the middleweight division might be one of the youngest on the podium but she was still the favorite, as it was Sarah Galvao who came out on top there.
