Pit Submission Series 6 will take place on June 28th, 2024 and the promotion has booked an impressive lineup for the event. Up until now they’ve always stuck with exactly three matches at each event, but they have been playing around with when they take place during the related Karate Combat card. There’s a small change heading into their 6th event though, as they are only putting together two matches this time around. There’s still a lot to look forward too though, as both of these matchups should produce quite a lot of entertainment for the fans.
The first match will see the return of UFC veteran Philip Rowe, who has been pretty busy on the professional grappling circuit in recent years. Rowe actually made his promotional debut against Craig Jones in the main event of Pit Submission Series 2, although he wasn’t able to get the win against his elite opponent. Now he’s facing fellow MMA fighter Lucas LaRue, who has put together a 2-0 record on the regional MMA circuit over the last year. Although neither of these men are known for their grappling careers, both of them are exciting competitors who will be looking to put on a show.
The second matchup is one between two elite grapplers, as Isaque Bahiense will be taking on a huge challenge in the form of Joao Gabriel Rocha. While Bahiense generally spends his time at either middleweight or medium-heavyweight, Rocha has almost always been an ultra-heavyweight competitor most of the time. Bahiense will be coming in strong after winning a bronze medal at the IBJJF World Championship earlier this year, while Rocha will be looking to build some momentum ahead of his appearance at the Craig Jones Invitational in just a few months’ time.
